I need some opinions on this...I have been stressing for a month now about a hair test that I might not even have. I've been worried because the company is a take off of a company that is well known for hair testing.

I met with HR today and have an offer (a nice one at that) sitting here next to me. There is a line that says I still have to "pass a background check." I asked about this and was told it was for my credit and criminal background. (No mention of a drug screening, but I certainly didn't want to bring it up!)

The application I filled out earlier said they "may" test. Do you think they are going to pull one out on me when/if I sign the offer??? Or do you think I am 'good to go'?

Since you are not sure I would be ready just in case. It's better to be prepared for nothing and get the job than them pop one on you unprepared and fail and not get the job.

I will stay clean for at least 30-90 days...that's when all of the benefits are set to kick in. Thanks for the advice!!!!!!

No double posting, and go for 90 days and pass them all.

I think I would be prepared to take a drug test. Hopefully you haven't smoked since you suspected you would have to take a hair test.

I already decided I won't be smoking for a good 30-90 days when/if I get this job. Thanks for the input!

Sounds like a smart move to me. The longer the better.

I doubt they will test, unless they have reason to suspect. Nevertheless, you should still prepare for the worst.

Wish me luck. I am thinking about buying one of those crazy expensive home tests...just to see if I end up being clean after daily "macujo'ing" and Aloe Rid Treatments (not the Aloe Rid Shampoo). I think the results might be helpful here AND give me peace of mind!?!?!
