Government agencies will probably adopt a hair testing policy now. The hair testing is the most expensive of all drug testing methods. The gov't's policy is "Use it or lose it" in regards to funding. The more they spend in one year, the more they are allocated the next year. Your tax dollars at work again.

That's right!! I was an electrician on a military base and that is exactly the way it goes. If they don't spend their funds this year, they can't justify next year. Their fiscal year starts in October so it looks like toward the end of the year their MAY be a lot more post on this forum. This usually includes all outside contractors also.
Maybe we should all buy PMD stock and retire on the money we make, from the company trying to keep us from getting jobs. That would be funny

The article does not say anything about the 7 Boston Police Officers that tested positive through Phsyademics. But the all were actually negative and they were suspended and "Guilty until proven innocent". They all had another test performed and they sll come up negative and recieved back pay and thier jobs back. I am not sure but thier was a debate going on in Boston about wether hair testing is as accurate as they say it is. But it really comes down to the good ol dollar that is to be made from the all of the hair testing.

No, really, I dislike the hair testing. It is the most complicated bit of paperwork and packaging ever invented. Also, the ladies are so worried and disappointed to have a chunk cut out of the middle of their hair. It sucks.

I do it, cuz it pays like all the rest, but I really prefer other types of collection.

I read the same article and wondered how they were able to keep doing hair test because they were not accurate. I haven't seen any mention of it since that one article. Money and the right connections in government do make a difference. As far as hair test being unreliable, we know from this forum, it can be beat. Not ALL the time, but it can be beat.

The collector that took my sample said and I quote: "I think it is bullshit"
I agreed of course.

I just got a hair cut yesterday, more than a month after my hair test and the first thing she said was"oh, you had a drug test for your job?"
I am glad I passed because my wife works for her and it may have made it uncomfortable for my wife.
I agree Hair Test SUCK!!!!!!
