I am 6'2 about 170 lbs, high metabolism, and dark blonde, VERY thick hair. I last smoked Decemeber 29. I should be taking the test in a a couple weeks lets say around May 6. Although I have not actually smoked since then, I have been exposed to high people and SECOND HAND smoke on a few occasions within the past 90 days. I know the test can only go back 90 days, but i am worried about the the second hand exposure and having very thick hair. I plan to get my haircut to an inch or a bit less days before the test, and i think i am going to trim my body hair to under an inch as well. If at all possible i DO NOT want to use the method used by many on here to pass. Is there anything else I should do and do i have anything to be worried about with the second hand? Thanks.

If my hair is too short and they have to take a sample from body hair how far back does your body hair go as far as showing drug usage?

Don't shave your head. You will have over 120 days clean. You will be fine.
Body hair or head hair you will be OK. If I were you I wouldn't even worry about special methods or shampoo's. Relax and don't smoke until after you get your results.

1toke is right. DON'T cut your hair. You will be fine. They only test 1-1/2" of the root end of the hair, not any other part of the hair, so it doesn't matter how long your hair is. If you cut your hair too short for the collector to feel comfortable cutting, then it is considered a refusal to test and is an automatic fail. Especially if your employer or prospective employer told you of the test before you cut your hair.

You will be fine. Second hand smoke doesn't matter. They wash the hair before testing it, and if you washed your hair since it was exposed to the second hand smoke there will be no trace of it on your hair. THC cannot be absorbed into the hair shaft from the air. It must be takin into the follicle from inside your body. If you were not actively smoking, then no THC was introduced in your body, therefore getting in your hair.
