| Hi i scheduled a physical with my physician and then he said that a blood test will be this saturday. Although they cant release the information are they allowed to test for THC without my consent? Or is testing for it just a regular part of any normal blood test? |

| It depends on a couple of things: Who ordered the tests (who is paying for the tests) How old are you (Will your parents pay for and receive results?) If it is for an employer, they will receive all results and may have lumped the authorization in a general form you signed without disclosing exactly which substance or medical condition is tested for. If it is for a parent, there is nothing you can do (at least not much you can do, you can always refuse to submit to the tests, but that could get awkward with your parents). Testing for THC is not a normal part of blood tests. Normally a blood test is done to look for a specific medical problem, or rather, to eliminate certain conditions from being the cause of a particular problem. |
