Just wondering, if it has been over 100 hours since I last smoked(while being completely clean beforehand), I realize that I should pass a saliva screen. I just passed a home urine test. Do I have anything to worry about? I was curious as to whether or not your saliva could test positive after abstaining for over 72 hours while your urine tests negative. Man, I am used to subbing for a urine test, and even though these saliva tests are supposed to be easy, I am a good bit more stressed than usual. THanks for any advice and help.

yeah i def just took a saliva test this morning, thinking it was going to be urine...i took an at home test and passed last night, and this morning i got there to find out it was a saliva! boy was i pissing my pants...esp since i had a lot of water to drink too beforehand lol - anyways, i took the test, but after reading these comments, it seems after 3 days or so most people can pass...for me i'm 6'5 230 pounds...avg metabolism, i smoked on may 21(quite a few puffs) and then on 23(only one hit on tuesday) and didnt smoke since...however, i got a surprise job opportunity from a friend and hopped on it and they said i had to test..i pushed it back one day(as far as i could) and went home to 'detox' my system..i took niacin, water, b-2, sodium, fiber..anyways after reading all the postings i assume that most of these people passed after only 2 or 3 days after smoking...i brush my teeth at least twice a day, and chew gum, mints almost every day...the gallon of water i drank yesterday should have helped too...but i'm just not sure...obviously, until i get my results...any advice?

If you haven't smoked since May 23, you'll pass the saliva test with flying colors.

Wait till you get the results to smoke

Is this because something could happen at the lab that could cause a retest? Also, since quest says that their labs are open on weekends, if I don't get a call for my employer on Friday, can I call Quest myself and ask for the results, or do you think they would inform my employer that I called?

Yes a retest has happened before. I doubt they will give you the results. They usually only give that info to the one that pays for the test.
