I accepted a job offer earlier today, and right after I signed I was told to take a saliva drug test. Once the woman gave me the schwab, I placed it in my mouth but not bt/w my gums and inner jaw as I was suppose to. I had just smoked a blunt last night. When the lady left the room for a minute, I panicked and grabbed some lotion (may have been hand sanitizer) off of her desk, took the schwab out of my mouth, rubbed lotion on the schwab nice a good, and put it back in my mouth before she came back. Do you think this test will come back inconclusive or am I screwed?

I don't know if you are screwed, but anyone looking for a job in these days should be prepared for a drug test. They are getting very common.

Well i was expecting a piss test, since thats all Ive ever taken. What is the importance of holding the scwab on your gum?

It's a Swab Test, and they may think you are sick, seeing your mouth is bacteria free! Our mouths' are full of Bacteria. Let us know if you pass. Please!

but what if it were lotion and not sanitizer, do you think there is anyway the test could come back positive, or probably inconclusive?

What the heck! Lotion, if you pass, I'll run tests' on it. Get the name of the lotion.

I think I would rather do your Altoid method instead of lotion.

I didnt plan to use the lotion, it was just the only thing there I could grab! I did it so maybe the test would come back inconclusive, and I could take the test again. Otherwise I would have just failed the test alltogether. If they test me again, Ill definately be prepared with the altoids! Hopefully I messed up the "control," and will be able to take the test again.

For pre-employment you don't usually get a second chance but anything is possible. Good luck.
