has anyone ever heard of Omega lab because i heard there cut rate is fairly higher than others is this true.

All testing labs have guidelines they follow that are set by the gov't. So basically a hair test is a hair test.

thx could u tell me how long most employers go back .The reason for the test is i going to drive a forklift so how long do u think they look.also i was wondering if they took my pubic hair thats just as accurate as the hair on the crown of the head.

I'm sure you've since read through the posts for your answers....the answers are there a bunch of times. Hair tests go back 90 days. It doesn't matter where they take hair samples....they're all the same....head, armpits, pubic.

i have but still wondering because my pubic hair is more course than everywhere else just wanting to knowif that has any effect. i wont post anything else.srry for bugging just worried

It really doesn't matter where they take the sample from. THC metabolites will show up in all your hair. Hair test generally go back 90 days depending on the length of the sample. Each 1/2" of hair represents approx. 30 days of drug history. Post all you want. We are here to answer and ask questions. That is what seperates a forum from a website.

Actually, there is more to it than just that. In the thread FAQ about hair testing, there is a chart listing the growth rates for various hairs own the body. 1/2 inch refers to hair on the head and not the pubic area. Pubic hair grows about .3mm per day while hair on the head grows about .44mm a day. So pubic hair grows closer to 1/3 of an inch a month while hair on the head grows 1/2 of an inch. I have posted the chart as well as the link to the thread. These figures are more accurate since not all hair grows at the rate of .5 inches per month.

How quickly does hair grow?

So pubic hair grows about .35 inches per month whereas hair from the head grows at .5 inches per month.

Oddly, that last line “A healthy scalp hair grows an average of half an inch or one centimeter per month.” should read 1.3 centimeters per month to be accurate according to the chart.

When I took my hair test, it was noted where the hair came from. I imagine this was to let the lab now how to correlate the results to the length of hair and the age of the hair.
