I may have a hair testing coming up on August 28th. It will have been 92-93 days since I took ONE hit off a pipe. Prior to that, I had not smoked in probably 18 months or more.

I have read a number of posts on here and I have seen that the general consensus is that if you have only smoked one time in the test period that you SHOULDN'T test positive.

I just recently got a hiar cut to 1/4". I am not going to cut it any more prior to the test and my hair grows fairly fast so it should be about 3/4" at the time of the test. I guess that my only fear is that if my hair is too short on my head, that they make take body hair. I have shaved my chest and cut my armpit hair to 1/8". I still have not done anything to my arms or legs though.

I already had some dandruff shampoo (T-Sal - 3% salicyclic acid) that I began using about 2 days ago just as a precaution.

I suppose that my main questions are: If my head hair is too short, do I have anything to worry about if they take my leg or arm hair (since these hairs typically do not completely change over for up to 1 year)? If so, should I just go ahead and cut them short (1/8") as well?

Do I have anything to worry about if they DO take my head hair?

I appreciate any response that I can get.

You don't need to cut your hair anymore or shave it off. Without any treatment you should pass without any problem.

Nothing to worry about any drug test with over 90 days clean. With only one usage in that time and 18 months clean before that. You are good to go.

Personally, if I had smoked only one hit in the last 90 days nothing before that in the last month I wouldn't have cut my hair that short. The idea behind it is solid but it looks kind of suspicious. I would have gone for around 1 inch. As you know the one hit in those last 90 days probably wouldn't have even been detected so why risk looking so suspicious. If that is what you normally cut your hair then I guess it isn't suspicious. You should pass on your head hair as well as chest and arm pit hair. But you might as well even out your leg and arm hair now so you match your chest hair! Get a clipper with a guard and use an inch long guard (maybe a 7/8 inch guard) to cut your leg and arm hair. I am saying that not so much to cut the dirty hair away but to even it out. I think you are almost assured a negative test.

I have heard of them taking nails but I am not sure how that works or who here has had that done but your short hair may have put you in danger of having this done. Still, I don't think your one hit is going to show up.

I always keep my hair short so it shouldnt be suspicious at all. My hair will be the same length when I go for the test as it was when I went for the interview. The test is still two weeks away so my hair will have grown out a little bit by then - prob to 3/4-1 inch.

I hear what you are saying about the leg and arm hair. I may take the clippers and trim them up as well.

I don't think that nails will come into the equation at all. I am not even CERTAIN that it is going to be a hair test. According to to the site that shows companies that drug test, this company has done urine in the past, but the post on that site is 6 years old. And since it is a fairly large company, I want to be prepared for a hair test just in case.
