I smoked marijuana for the first time in about 3 months a few days ago and I took probably 5-8 hits over the course of 2 days. I just found out that I'm going to have to do a hair drug test sometime within the next 3-5 weeks. Can anyone tell me what the chances are that I'm going to test positive? Also, if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

They say it takes about 3 times getting high over 3 months to test positive but better safe than sorry. You might want to do some treatment on your hair. Check out the thread started by Macujoy and use the search to find some of the other tips by people who have passed.

You should be fine. It will be well over the 90 days by the time you test and you only smoked twice.

You misunderstood the timeframe our poster referred to 1Toke - he smoked a few days ago so the THC-COOH will have desposited in his hair by the time of the test.

However, as you didnt smoke much, and hadnt smoked in over 3 months prior, I would agree with 1Toke in that you will probably be fine BUT I also agree with Jack in that you should use some methods as a safe-guard (esp the Mac method). Also, whatever you do, dont cut your hair, that will only serve to concentrate the THC-COOH and reduce you chances of passing (as happened to another poster recently)

No, I didn't misunderstand, I just worded it wrong. This is what I meant. If the poster smoked twice in over a 90 day period they will pass. They said it was the first time in 3 months and it was going to be another 3 to 5 weeks before the test. That will be 2 times in approx. 111 - 125 days. In my opinion they will pass without any treatment.
