This is a unique story and, well it does not suck much worse than this. I was/am working for a stable company and had a great position in which I was performing above expectations. I have never had any problems with management or corrective measures taken against me. Overall a good, reliable and stable employee. So we recently discovered that we were bought out by an overseas company and they demand a hair test from everyone. What a blow!! You think they would move forward with all competent employees without having to be "re-hired" and take a HAIR drug test. There is not much you can do when something like this comes out of left field to whack you upside the head. But here is my detailed story to eventually help in the aid of others!

I am a light occasional user. By that- I mean a hit or two of a bowl on the weekend. It is not every weekend, but sometimes it is 2-3 weekends in a row. The last time I smoked was Aug 4th -the usual amount. That following Monday I heard the initial rumor that the new company would be doing hair drug tests. So I immediately stopped smoking! (Hate to be captain obvious, but you need to know everything) I had just had my hair cut pretty short a few days prior (little less than an inch on top) so that was one good thing. It looks a little bit obvious to come in to the office a day later with a shaved head – but that does not mean multiple people did not do it! Anyways..that Monday when I got home I did the typical search and found this website and all the “MAC” method postings. I went to the store to buy the ingredients that evening and immediately began treating my hair (used aloe rid shampoo also). I did it everyday usually 2 times until the day of my test which was Aug 17th. I did 2 lengthily treatments the morning of the test as well. I also trimmed my hair every other night with the clippers to keep it at the same short length. To my surprise the woman taking the sample did not request other body hair (that was ALL gone anyways) which I thought she would. She just kept apologizing for having to take so many little clumps of hair vs. one longer sample.

So did I pass…..did I fail? I am not certain as of yet. I think my judgment day will be tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. We have lost SEVERAL employees already do to failed drug screenings. The last person let go took the test exactly 1 day prior to me; hence the thought that I should know by tomorrow. 2 of the people that failed have been rumored for years to have other problems other than smoke. I also know that there were 2 people who were at about the same usage level as me and took their test 3 days prior to me and are still employed, or should I say they were allowed to keep their position!

You stand a pretty good chance of passing, in my opinion. Just to let you know, it is Aloe Rid Clarifying Treatment you want to use which is getting hard to find in some places. Our local Rite Aid still has it. Not Aloe Rid Shampoo.

Yeah I realized that after I had gotten the shampoo. I had read a few places that the shampoo worked good as a condtioner after the mac treatment though.

And all is clear, I can keep my job!!!! Thank freakin god! What a few weeks of hell this has been.

Though I can't confirm that the "mac" method was what saved me, I think there is a pretty big trend of people passing their test using it vs. not.
