| I've been a smoker for about 10 years...almost everyday. My husband is super casual...only smoked about 7x in the last year. He smoked with me about 3 weeks ago, about 4 hits off the bong. The company he's been trying to get into just called him last week. He interviewed this week and has a drug test next week. It's a hair test. My potsmoking buddy already works there and said the hair test is new since July and he didn't know. He only found when a guy he interviewed failed and wasn't hired. That guy said he hadn't smoked since November 05. My buddy called HR and they said they could go back a year. This can't be true? My husband is about 5'9 and a bodybuilder...big muscles, very little fat, short black hair. I've bought everything for mccujo, aloe rid treatment, afterburner and ultra clean. He's planning to use it all. What are his chances of passing? Please help, I feel like its my fault. |

With your husbands smoking history and some treatment, I think he has a very good chance of passing. It is said you need 3 or more smoking sessions in a 3 month period to fail the test and it looks like he smokes on an irregular basis so is likely close to the threshold where he could pass without treatment. Based on his physical condition (little fat so less reserves available for the body to store the excess THC in) and then throw in some treatment options and the odds really increase in his favor. Hair tests, can in theory, go back as long as the length of ones hair (hair grows about 0.5" a month) but the results are inaccurate after 3 months of hair growth (decompostion of THC-COOH, hair weathering etc.) so accredited labs will only test the 1.5" of newest hair growth. Also, since your husband has "short" hair, they can not test for something he did in the distant past that is not longer there. UV light and peroxide will also help decompose THC metabolites so a few tanning sessions and bleaching hair then dying it back would also work in his favor. I think your husband will pass after these treatment options | |

| I agree w/ Cyclops. If his hair is too short they may take it from another area though (such as pubic) so be aware of that. Also, it isn't your fault honey. You didn't force him to smoke and you aren't the one requiring the testing. |
