I was offered the "dream" job 3 weeks ago--light smoker a couple of hits on the weekend. Never had to test before so was completely unprepared for the paragraph in my offer letter "subject to drug testing". Quit completely--took the urine test--came back "negative, dilluted", so now I had to take a hair test yesterday. I have very dark hair which color every 4 weeks due to gray--had it colored last week before I found out I had to do a hair test. So I have been reading this thread--I detoxed by washing 4 times with Aveda detoxifying shampoo 3 days before the test. Than the day before, I soaked my hair with white vinegar, put the Clean & Klear on and put a plastic cap on my head and blew dry for 15 minutes, than washed with Tide, than washed with Aloe Rid. Day of the test, repeated that process. Than I went to my hairdresser and told her what I needed to do--she bleached my hair as long as she could with a combination of Paul Mitchell and Aveda--she used the Mitchell because Aveda is so natural that we were not sure it was strong enough--my scalp burned like hell and I thought I was going to pass out at one point. After bleached, she washed my hair with AFterburner massaging it in for 15 minutes. Than she trimmed it, and colored it and washed it again with Afterburner. Than I went home and doused it with vinegar again and washed it with Afterburner and went in for the test.

I can't take this anymore, the waiting is killing me but this site has been a blessing for support. Keep up the good work.

It will seem long but don't think about it too much. That'll just make it worse. You've done all that you could do. Now if you pass or fail is already done. Nothing else to do. So go have a good time(not smoking of course) and keep your mind off that. Keep thinking, "I'm going to pass." No doubts.

Personally, I think drug testing is an invasion of privacy and is appalling. However, nobody seems to care except the police. They routinely argue against it as an ivasion of privacy and are not required to test. Interesting isn't it?

Anyway, I hope you pass. I have heard that the hair maintains THC residues for quite a while. I wonder if all those treatments will work and hope you let us know.

It is ashame you had to go through all of this especially considering how harmless pot is in the first place. I mean, after all, what is the big deal if someone smokes pot or not?

If it does come back positive, perhaps you can tell your employer you inhaled some second hand smoke at a party a few months ago. Afterall, you did have a negative urine.

It is interesting how the police gets away with it. They should be tested harsher than the public. They're supposed to upholding the laws. But it figures. Who hasn't seen a police officer "think about braking" at a stop sign and then pull somebody else over because they didn't stop completely. Nobody polices the Police.

THC metabolites are deposited in the hair approx. 5-7 days after smoking. They remain for approx. 90 days.

Second hand smoke doesn't cause a positive result and the urine was negative "dilute" which isn't passing.

That's right, now comes the waiting.

I think you stand a REALLY good chance of passing this test. You were a light smoker and treated your hair excessively with many treatments - many of these will reduce the THC-COOH entrapped in the hair (to what extent is the question we need the answer too). If each treatment only reduced THC-COOH by as little as 5% (based on the success rate of the Mac method, 5% for this treatment alone is a very low underestimate), then with over 13 seperate treatments this all adds up. I will honestly be suprised if you were to fail the test.
Another thing to note is there have been a number of ppl on this site that were much heavier smokers than you and passed the hair test with much less treatment.
I emphase with you on the wait - its absolute torture. Please let us know the outcome.

Cyclops is correct. I smoke a bit heavier than you. Basically total of 2-3 joints in the past 45 days. About a joint a day for the previous 45 days. Did MuCujo about 8 times the three days prior to the test. YES THE WAITING WAS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! But try to relax it's not uncommon for the tests to take a while. Mine was 8 days and that was with the new employer paying for "quick results".
Just keep a positive attitude. ( Actually I went out a got drunk one night just so I could get a good nights sleep!) I think you should be fine. Don't forget to let us know. We will all be a rootin' for ya!

still no word, but I can't tell you how much all of your postings mean to me right now. This is just horrible--do they call you and tell you whether you pass or fail? Why does it take so long? Although, with my urine test, I took it on a Saturday and they didn't call me until Thursday--wish I would have found this site before that one and maybe avoided the hair test.

I found out the first day I started employment. The day was going quite nicely for me. Then about 1:00 in the afternoon, I was told to call the human resources dept. I was told to gather my things and leave the property. I tested positive for marijuana and cocaine.

I did the Macujo method twice before I left to go take the test.
I hadn't smoked for 3 days prior to taking the test.
I'm an African American female, and I liked to smoke weed every day.

Trafish, you never had a chance....three days abstinence won't get you anything. Unfortunately being African American doesn't help either. Better luck next time.
