| Situation: Graduating college in June and have a fabulous job offer for post graduation. I didn’t think that I was going to be drug tested until I officially started however I have recently found out that I will be tested when I accept. This will include a full physical including blood, urine and hair (I know people who are currently employed there). Blood and urine are not my major concerns, but I am terrified of the hair test. Time frame: Being testing in minimum 1 week, maximum 1 month depending on how much time I can buy. Usage: Haven’t been a daily smoker a couple of years (basically once I realized that the amount I smoked had a direct negative correlation to my grades), but I still like to party every now and then. In the past three months I have smoked 4 maybe 5 times; last occasion Dec. 3. However, I was living in Europe for six months prior to September where I took full advantage of the decriminalization laws in several places. Physical & Lifestyle: Female; 22; Height: 5’4’’; Weight: 115 lbs; Hair: light brown bordering on blonde, about 1.5 ft length, fine, but very thick. Fairly active, I work out 5-6 times a week. Current Treatment: Started a couple of days ago washing daily with aloe rid and paul mitchell three cocktail. First using aloe rid then paul mitchell three. Potential Problems: I love my hair and do not want to destroy it, especially since I am getting married soon. Questions: Would I be able to get away with using the MacCuj0 method only once, maybe twice prior to test day? Does UV and chlorine really work? How long/often would one have to tan/swim for it to have any effect? I could use all of the help that I can get. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| Definitely not smoking anymore will help your chances. Do the MacCujo method the night before and the morning of the test. UV rays and swimming are Boobs and/or Cyclops suggestion. Maybe one of them will be on in a while. Boobs ususally stops in every night. Their suggestion of tanning and swimming can't hurt so give it a go. Swimming is good exercise and a tan looks good and if they help pass your test. That is better yet. I am sure Boobs can recommend how often to tan and swim. Good luck. |

Next let's talk treatment. Maccujo actually makes some people's hair softer and more managible the first few times it is used then with repeated usage it then begins to dry the hair out. The methods aren't about do they work but do they help. It is like each type of treatment and each time a treatment is done it helps to lower THC metabolite concentration from the hair. Nothing is 100% proven to work. Depending on how much you smoked since Sept.1 you should use a few maccujo treatments as well as alternate methods that are less stressful on the hiar. This would include exposing your hair to UV radiation, swimming in chlorinated water, and possibly getting your hair bleached and re-colored. I am sure some people would say this is stresssful on the hiar but some people's hair handles coloring treatments better than others. Also, since the bleach solution can range from mild to black color stripping power, you should consider this and how your hair responds to coloring treatments. Same things could be applied to perms or straighteners. Finally, one of the mildest method that seems to be the most effective is using Zydot shampoo. Search for posts by Cyclops and look at her sig about Zydot (and UV radiation). It has a study on Zydot in it. If you really want the job and good hair during the wedding you may want to consider buying multiple packages of Zydot. Please give an update though on how much you smoked since Sept. 1 before buying a bunch, you may or may not need it. I forgot what the UV study says about how much time exposed to the UV is needed but if you read it that should help answer how long and often. Thanks for the free ad time 1toke. | |

| Boobs, I have probably smoked 8-10 times since Sept 1. More so in the begining of September than in the months leading up till now. Also, I will check out the posts on Zydot and UV radiation. Thank you both for your help/advice. |
