| Hi, First post here. I have a hair test coming up in 30-90 days, I've been clean since I found out it wouldn't be a urine test (about 30-35 days). My research led me to this site and I have been reading all I can. I'm much more confident that I can pass now, especially if the test doesn't even come around for 60+ days. I can't find the thread anymore, but somewhere here someone had a couple of links in their sig (I think it was a mod) to a couple of pieces of scientific research. The links are: (I bookmarked the pages) Stability of Cannabinoids in Hair Samples Exposed to Sunlight -- Skopp et al. 46 (11): 1846 -- Clinical Chemistry http://www.erowid.org/references/ref...howDoc1&ID=896 The erowid link goes to a study that rates the effectiveness of the Zydot cleanup product. My question is about the units used in the studies compared to standard hair test units. The figures in the studies are in ng/mg and typically I see units for test cutoff levels in ng/ml. For example, the chart in the sunlight study shows the highest THC content sample (pre sunlight exposure) to be 1.72 ng/mg. How does this compare to a standard hair test cutoff of 20 or 50 ng/ml? Also, the studies seem to be looking at minimum detection levels rather than standard detection cutoff levels. Is it safe to ignore the study conclusions that the test subjects (sunlight, Zydot) don't appreciably affect detectability, and put more faith in the raw percentages (roughly 30% reduction in detected THC content each)? Thanks for your time and any answers. |

| I think the poster that you are referring to was a member named cyclops. She has been kind of MIA lately but does stop in periodically. I am not into the weights and measures of the cut offs. Maybe boobs can tell you the answers you are looking for if he stops in. Sec3 may also be able to help. |
