Dear fellow pot enthusiasts, this is a posting just to help anyone who is nervous about an upcoming hair test gauge their probability of testing positive by comparing your habits, methods, and quality with mine.

I am 31. I've been smoking since I was 18. Over the past few years I've been smoking good quality stuff roughly once or twice a week out of a glass marble bowl. During each session I probably smoked one bowl's worth, sometimes a little less. Occasionally I would take a month off but haven't done so since around Sept-Oct. I smoked 4 times in January (the last time being Jan 30) and probably more than usual in December due to the holidays. Yes, it was indeed a very merry Christmas.

Anyway, I went in for my pre-employment test on Feb. 21. They took my leg hair and I passed. To prepare for it I only drank 2 cups of Yogi detox tea a day for about 1.5 weeks and also took a two-week detox cleanser I bought from Whole Foods called First Cleanse. It was basically some veggie pills containing 39 whole herbs taken morning and night.

For my own peace of mind, before I went in for the test I bought an at-home hair drug kit from testcountry.com which uses Omega Labs and Psychemedics Lab for their testing (depending on the package you buy - I bought the one that uses Omega). I tested negative which gave me the confidence to schedule my hair test right away with my potential employer, who uses Psychemedics.

I'm not sure the detoxifying really allowed me to pass. Afterall, I definitely had been smoking for the last 90 days (the time period for which they tested me). But it may have helped some. Quite honestly, there's no way to really know.

Anyway, good luck to all of you. I'd like to thank everyone who has been posting useful information and responding to my questions. I hope you all pass these ridiculous, intrusive tests.

I don't think it did any good to take the cleanser stuff, but like you said we will never know. You passed and that is what counts. Congratulations and thanks for posting your results.
