I had a CPS case come up on me in which they gave me 24 hours to go take a urine and hair screen. I spent that 24 hours in this forum trying to figure out a way to pass the hair screen. I hadn't smoked in about a year up until 2 months before I had to take the exam. Then I smoked every day up until the day before they came after me. All I did was get in perm in my hair. I even did it myself. I went to the drug store and bought an at home straightener. (These are the same as a perm, they just don't use rollers). After I put the first step in which is the one that changes the cortex, the directions instructed me to rinse it out and then wash my hair. At that step, with the cortex of my hair open... I washed with Aloe Rid. I held my breath for a week and I found out last night that I passed. It can be done you guys... and this forum helped me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

any other info you have would help...what kind of straightner you used, your hair type, etc.

The name of the straightener/perm I used was called Easy Straight 3 month straightener. Like I said... its just like a perm, but you don't use the rollers. I have blonde hair... past shoulder length. It took one kit... However, I must say I think the Aloe Rid did it. The instructions specifically state that after you put the first chemical on your hair, you rinse it out and shampoo. I shampooed with the Aloe Rid 3 times. Thats when the cortex was open so I said why not!! Then I didn't quite rinse it all out the last time and then did the last step which is the neutralizer and that closes the cortex. I wanted to do the Macujo method but i was terrified my hair would fall out... and having had a perm before i knew it would be ok. The science on the perm is one of the only things that i know of that will open that innermost layer of hair. But I know the macujo method has been successful for many as well!

Did you use a conditioner after? I have a ;ong blonde hair to. I was going to get it bleached should I do this?
