hey all,
so i found out today (monday) that i have to take a hair test on friday...thats 4 days . i am an avid smoker...smoke several bowls/blunts each day and have been for for the past 8 years. my last bowl was sunday evening. as soon as i found out i had to take this test, i rushed to my local head shoppe. i bought omni cleansing shampoo upon the recommendation of the owner. i also have been doing research, and this site has been the greatest. i am willing to try the vinegar, clean & clear, tide method.

my question is...because i smoke hella, have long brown hair, do you think it is best to try a combination of both methods? or just one?

i am desperate for advice...i really need this job!!

I think with your smoking history and your short clean time, that you should do everything you can because to be honest with you. I don't think you have much of a chance of passing. Sorry.

There are lots of things that may help. Nothing works for sure. You don't have much clean time or time before your test.
Some other things that have been used are: UV rays in a tanning bed, Paul Mitchell 3 shampoo, Aloe Rid Deep Clarifying Treatment.
The commercial specialty cleanser Zydot has had good results lately.
Good luck and realize that nothing works for sure for everybody. The less clean time you have, the less your chances of passing.

What about UV rays from that big yellow thing up high in the sky, the Sun is what I think they call it?

You know not every one is in upstate NY freezing their asses off during the winter 1toke! Some people do have good sunshine weather!

Actually the sun is shining here right now and the wind chill is a balmy 10 below zero. Supposed to be 50 above zero on Thurs.
I didn't smarty pants.....read my post above. I won't forget it now. It has had good results alone and in combo with the Mac method.

ok, another question....

the HR dept. told me their "preferred" method was a hair test. Does this mean i must get a hair test or can i try to get a urine test? like, can i be girly and say i spend too much on my hair to have a bald spot?

has anyone been in a similar situation?

That is probably their way of saying "that is what you are getting". If the collector does the job right you shouldn't have a noticeable "bald spot" so that probably won't work. Give it a try if you think it will work.
If you could sub for a piss test you would be better off.

You are welcome and I do wish you luck. I don't think I would try to haggle over what drug test to take though. That might look suspicious.
