So I've spent about 15 hours reading the huge amount of advice here in the last two days. Thank you to all.. Wow, what a site! Got laid off (complete surprise) from current job this week. I'm starting the job hunt next week and I have to be prepared for BOTH urine and hair. Money wise, I have a couple months of reserve, but have to start interview process asap. In other words, I can delay a bit, but not too much.

Here are my stats...

Physical:

34 yr old white male
5' 10" 170 lbs - thin build w/ slight "belly"
fast metabolism - hard/impossible to gain weight
brown/darker hair w/ some gray hair (kept cut short)
fast growing hair - wife says faster than normal (she cuts hair for living)
little to no exercise

History:
Last THC intake - 3/26/07
Prior Usage: average every other day or so smoking low grade bud w/ one hitter at night (split with wife - total 1/4 oz between us in past 2 1/2 months) (barely got us high - combo of low grade and resistance?)

Even though I don't know WHEN and WHAT KIND of test I'll have, I DO know I'll have one or the other (or both) in the next month or so. I want to do whatever I can NOW so that when the time comes, I'll have done everything I could. i want to worry about the interviews (when they come) and worry less so on the tests (though it will still be a concern). My initial thoughts after reading through all the posts are...

1) don't touch the weed (obviously)
2) already ordered home urine tests (set of 25 THC from Medical Disposables)
3) will need to utilize "macruder" (sp) hair cleansing method?
4) will need to utilize urine aspirin/creatin dillution method depending on when?

Other thoughts?
1) start exercising?
2) drinking water/cranberry now? will it help?
3) start cleaning hair already?

Any and all advice (or relevant links?) on what I can do right now would be appreciated!!! I promise to update on progress/results.

Drinking lots of water days before the test will not help. Read the link in my sig. Cranberry juice does not clean you out either. You can do Maccujo once a day for a while.

I kind of disagree with the cranberry juice not helping. I have read that the pure, non sweetend stuff actually clears bacteria and other shit from the lining of your bladder. It may not be a magic bullet, but it could help flush the bladder...if you can handle the pure shit and find it. It is tough to find anywere. I could be wrong thoug.

Well what you need to understand is what works on bacteria doesn't mean it works on THC. Cranberry juice has a slightly antiseptic quality to it. It can help kill or slow the growth of bacteria in the urinary tract. That doesn't mean it cleans you out. High levels of salt exhibit antibacterial effects. That's why they salt cure ham. Does that mean eating a big chunk of salt will clean THC out of you? No. Now I am just having fun with it, LOL. See if you heard it flushes bacteria or cleans bacteria from your bladder then you were misinformed. It can help kill or control bacteria, not polish the inside of your bladder shiny clean! It is often recommended to women prone to UTI's because of this.

Just an update... took first "home" thc urine test with 50 cut off. Scored a "faint" line twice in the same day. Which means... negative (good). I'm guessing the "faintness" indicates that I'm still hovering close to 50. Again, last time smoked was 3/26 - 9 days ago. So I'm seeing this as a very good thing from a urine standpoint, considering I likely will have no tests within 2 weeks. I'm still stressing on hair though.... any wise, kind, suggestions re: prepping hair would be most excellent. Do you guys trust the home urine tests as "reasonably accurate"?

ok i used this for another person so theres alot of things in here that wont apply but one thing i didnt say was the hair thing and the shampoo you buy in the smoke shops and its pretty affective butr you use it before the test and since your hair grows fast its a good thing but think if they took it from under your arms thats just a thought so maby use it there too or just shaave it off ha well good luck and it takes three months to get outa the hair

well the fgaint line can just mean the test isnt the best and i trust them alot i have used them many times and with the hair i already said what i thought but your clean already as far as urine but the hair test just get the shampoo and use it before you test and if it is a blood test well your in luck it clears out the blood faster than urine dude your pretty much good
