These forums have been very helpful... well I think, haven't actually been tested yet... but here is my sceniaro... any advice would be very helpful...

I am almost 30, male and close to 200lbs. I am not very active and do not exersize on a regular basis. Up until May 15th (interview date), I cheifed pretty regularly. on average about a 6-8 hits a night after work with quality ranging from dirt to very high grade cron... the majority of the time it was mid grade stuff. I have short, but very thick brown hair... I am white, but dark complected. The job I am trying to get has to be posted for atleast 20 days, the first of which was the 15th. At that point chozen canidates (of which I am desperatly hoping to be one) will have to go through two more interviews an extensive background check and a hair folicle test (that the interviewer told me dated back a year.) I was told, at the time of my interview, that I probably would not hear anything for about a month.

Here is where my circumstances get a little sticky. The job I am trying to get is a promotion. I have been with the company for almost two years and did NOT have to take any drug test to get the job I have now. However, a couple of months ago I started taking adderall (legally perscribed.) Some of my superiors are aware of this. I have heard rumors from people in my company, most of which have been there much longer than I have, that this is just a scare tactic and the company wouldn't spend $1000 on this test; they won't be looking for THC, but "harder drugs" (cocain, LSD, heroin, ect.); they won't tell me if I fail the test, they will just tell me they went another way; and "just cut your hair short and use a lot of hair-spray. In the past year I have taken a few (less than 10) pharmacutical drugs illegally (Vicoden, Xanax, and Ultrim), and took X with my girlfriend twice, none of which have been in the last three months. I have read through a lot of the posts on this subject, and here are the questions that still have for the experts:

The concensous seems to be to use the maccujo method. If I do this early and stay clean except for my adderall will it still work? I am worried about it not showing up when the wrong people know I am on it.

Do you think there is any truth to the rumors I listed above, in particular the test costing a grand to administer and a company only looking for "harder" drugs and not being concerned with THC?

And would it be legal for the company to terminate me if I fail this test, when no one in my current position (sales) has been required to take any kind of drug test?

I appologize for such a lengthy post, but I wanted to be specific as possible. I also appologize if these questions have been answered in a different thread, and I just overlooked them. If anyone knows these answers, or has any suggestions, or is looking to hire an educated guy for a high paying job...

PLEASE help me out.

So how much clean time will you have by the time they test you?
The interviewer doesn't know about hair testing. It goes back for approx. 90 days and if it takes a month to get the results back for a hair test and background check, HR is dragging their ass. 3-5 business days is the average for both.
Some companies do test for promotions especially if their policies have changed for drug testing since you got hired.
If you have a scrip, that shouldn't be a problem.
Company rumor mills are common. Scare tactic...possible. $1000 for the test...you can get a PDT-90 for about $100 and companies should get a discount for volume. Not looking for THC....most drug test do test for THC metabolites and is one of the most common tested for. They won't tell you......you may get fired if you fail the test. Just cut you hair and hair spray.....bullshit.
Marijuana only on this site. Any other drug is off topic.
If you won't be clean for at least 90 days, there is a chance you could fail. Nothing works everytime for everybody. As I said before, if you have a scrip, it shouldn't be a problem with the Adderall

Thanks for your answers... it has helped me relax a little. As for mor questions... I would have just one, and I'm not sure if anyone can answer it...

Is this method permanent (provided that you don't smoke)... or are the results only temporary?

MacCujo said to do it the day of the test. So I would say it is temporary. The THC stays in your hair until it has grown out or is cut off.

Tues. or Wed. I may have to take the test... I plan on doing the mac tonight (Sat), Monday night and Tues. morning and repeating every night/morning until the test arrives... Only 17 days clean... I have been using Aloe Rid for the past 4 or five days... I am really starting to stress now... I have had a few more suggestions since last post, and some more opinions on them would be greatly appreciated...

1. I will be getting my haircut before I go to next interview... how short can I safely cut it without them wanting to use body hair... I am going to cut my underarm hair real short, and I already shave my chest and pubic area (girlfriend likes it that way)

2. I have been told to bleach and or color my hair and or use a perm... anyone had experiance, or have recomendations on either

3. As a general rule, if I do fail the test, what are my odds of being able to contest it, or demand a second test...

4. I have been warned that I should expect a piss test also... I have lost about 8-10 pounds since I quit smoking... with a fairly high metabolism and 40mg of adderall (perscribed) daily will green tea and water be enough to pass urine screen?

5. If the answer to 4 is no, what is the least expensive method of detox with my circumstances (on a very tight budget) at the moment


Seriously, I would be so much more relaxed if I could just smoke... but that's what got me into trouble in the first place... so any suggestions or help... please... I don't know if I could handle not getting this promotion because of a failed drug test...

Keep your hair at or as close to 1.5 inches as possible.
Bleaching and re-dye of the hair has been done and so has perm or relaxer.
Slim to none.
No. A home test with your first piss of the day will tell you if you can pass a piss test.

We can take hair from your arms and legs, back, chest, underarms, face and, the prefered site, the head.

If you have sparse hair on your legs and arms, good. treat it and leave it that way. If you have rather thick, long hair on your arms, legs,chest and/or back, if I were you, I would trim it down to no less and no more than 1/2 inch long and use a hair remover product to just thin it down a bit. Don't remove it entirely, just keep the hair remover creme on long enough to thin out the crop.

For your head, if there is no other site, and you have treated, trimed or otherwise thinned out the body hair, then you should cut your head hair to no less than 1-1/4 inches long. that is long enough to test and not so short that a collector could reject it.

As far as pubic hair, most labs that conduct hair testing do not have the option on the paperwork for allowing pubic hair and one has even gone so far as to put it in their protocol that pubic hair should not be used.
