okay, so i went in for a pre-employment test today thinking it was going to be a urine test, but actually it was a hair test. exactly three weeks ago i ate two brownies, and i smoked a little the week before that, but didn't get high off of it. before this i hadnt smoked since november, and before that i had never smoked. since i dont really know a lot about hair detection (i studied for a urine test ), i just want to know: it's pretty much assured that i failed right? i'm preparing for the worst, and i just wanted other people's opinions.

and if i do fail, are there any good excuses that i can use to try to prove my "innocence" or is it pretty much assured? thanks.

I think the threshold is 3 sessions in a three month period so its possible you may be alright. I am not sure if consuming pot makes a difference.


Some companies allow you to retest at your own expense. So if that is the case, you can start reading through all the mucujjo, nexxus aloe rid, hair relaxer, bleach and perm postings.

I think you should pass. To answer your question about excuses. There isn't any except that you used marijuana.

hah thanks 1toke, i didnt think there would be any excuse but you never know. i really hope you're right about me passing, but i'm still preparing for the worst. thanks for your expertise though!

I have been wrong before, but usually it's that I think they will fail and they pass. In your case I am 99.999% sure you will pass.
Think positive for negative results. Good luck and let us know your results.

ok so i was just wondering how long it should be before my results come in? my test was on wednesday afternoon and then i'm guessing the samples had to be shipped out. would the fact that this was a holiday weekend slow down the process? the employment agency said they'd call me this week with my employee info but they didn't say anything about when the results would be in.

should be about 2-3 days depending on when they mail it out

3-5 business days and then it depends on HR at the company you applied with. Sometimes HR drags their ass.

okay so i just got some news (maybe) regarding my test. my friend and i both applied for the same company through an employment agency, and we've been waiting for the agency to call us with our employee info but my friend got tired of waiting and called today. she told him that everything was in order and she was just waiting to hear back from one of his references. and she knows we're friends and told him "and everything's fine for julie" (thats me)...soo i'm hoping this means i passed. or maybe she didn't want to tell him otherwise? i'm taking this as a good sign but she said she'd call us on friday (the job starts monday) and i really wish it wouldn't take so long. sorry for the rant but i never thought smoking pot would be so stressful...
