Well I'm a teenager and I just applied for my first job up at this local gas station, and on the app it asked if I would be willing to undergo a drug screen and i said yes of course. but im kind of sweating this because i just smoked last night so i know its in my system, and if i fail i run the risk of not only not getting a job, but my parents finding out, and maybe trouble with law. so my question is...

does every place of employment drug screen new employees? because i was thinking... why would a gas station need to test anyone... or should i really be worried about them just popping a test on me?

and if i should try to clean it out of my system what would you recommend i do in the next few days.

if they do test, it'll be a urine test. are you a regular smoker?

my boyfriend used to work at Sunoco, and he had to sign the same sheet, but they never drug tested.

it depends on if i have any, i usually smoke 1-2 bowls a day depending the situation...

thats what i was thinking, like the only reason i could see why i would need a test at like a gas station is if i showed up to work stoned off my ass and fucked somethin up

They'd probably only test you if you did something dangerous or stupid. Just be well behaved and well mannered. I don't see why a gas station would test employees, and at worst you lose a job at a gas station.
The job can't be that important to you if you sign a paper saying you agree to be drug tested and then you go and smoke...

Is it a chain gas station (mobil, chevron, etc) if so it is probably likely you will be urine tested.

That is why they are drug testing you and probably doing a background check as well, however; most teens don't really have anything to report on a background check. Their criminal records are unaccessable, their driving history is too short and they have no credit history and very little previous employment history.

but even if it is a chain gas station, like i said, sunoco didn't drug test my boyfriend. not saying urs definatly wouldnt, but my best guess is that they make u sign it so if u fuck something up and they have suspicion, they have the legal rights to drug test you.

drink water and cranberry juice like its ur job, taking vitimin B9 or whatever it is (look on the urine testing forum) and get a gas staTION job, workthe midnight shift .. my bf used to smoke during his shift cuz it was so damn boring.. lol.

thx for all the feedback guys, my whole situation now is either between pizza place or gas station, so whichever one calls first and givees me the ok, i dont know if i should smoke or not, i wanna play it safe but at the same time i wanna fuckin burn. this is going to be a pain in the dick! -_-

haha uknow the pizza place wont test. and then u can go to work high and eat pizza. i did that lst summer, but then i accidently cut my finger and needed stiches. im clumsy. lol.
