First off, love this site. I've been reading here for weeks and learned a lot.

I'm a light smoker, last bowl was on April 28. During a two week period at that time, I split around an 1/8 between me and my wife. Before that, probably the same amount late January early February.

My hair has always been short, between 1/8" and 1/4" long to help hide my grey hair. Knowing this, my plan was to shave my arms, chest and legs down short, around 1/8" and keep my head hair short so they would focus on my armpit. The past two weeks, I've been using the Mac method everyday, bleach and dyed my underarm once, and followed up my Mac with Zydot the last three days. Needless to say, my arm pits are killing me! Holy hell that stuff burns.

Anyhow, I never treated my head hair because 1. I didn't think they would take the sample from there and 2. at 48 days, there should be no THC in my 1/4" hair. Well wouldn't you know it, my collector first asked if I had any hair on my legs or chest, which I don't. She never asked about my armpits!?! I gladly offered up my head which she took probably 20-25 samples not more than 1/4" long.

So, my questions are:

1. Is my math correct, given 48 days clean, light smoker and shortness of hair, it should be clean right?

2. Can the lab reject the sample because the hairs are too short?

Rock on! I'm praying they don't ask me to go back in again.

If I understand you correctly, you have smoked once in the 90 days before the test. You would have passed without any treatment, so you will pass with treatment.
Yes, the lab can reject the sample. That is why we advise to not smoke until you get your results, job or whatever.
The labs have taken hair that short, but they prefer 1.5 inches. I wouldn't worry if I were you. If you don't smoke you can pass a hair test even if they take the sample off your ass.
