Hi all. First timer here. I have been a daily smoker (about a 1/4 bag kind bud per week) for the past 10 years. I quit for four days (May 31st - June 4) while I was on vacation. I picked it back up for 12 days which would bring my last day of smoking June 15th (this past Friday). I have a hair drug test in approximately 40 days. I am trying to drag out the hiring process as much as possible.

I guess the Pros I have are: very high metabolism; I don't do any other illegal drugs; I weight train.

I am 5'5"
37 YO
123 pounds
Not a lot of body fat

My hair is down to my waist but they say they will be testing back 90 days. There is no way in hell I can pass in only 45 days, is there?

Can you kind people lend some advice for me? I ran out and got the Nexxus Aloe Rid and used it after swimming tonight. I also called my hairdresser and she said there is a product that she uses on some people who have been taking medications so their perms will take. It's not a product you can buy in the store... only the professionals can use it. I think she said it is Redken Pre-Art.

What suggestions can you help with, please? I'm thinking since I have a 40 day notice that maybe I can prepare a little better than some of the other people who get "pop tested".

Any ideas to help my hair grow faster? I also bought some vitamins called "Hair Nail Skin" with lots of B vitamins, A, C, etc.

I'm nervous as I could be. And to top it off, my bf is pissed because I could blow a great job opportunity.

Hi Poker Toker,

I think since you have a 40 day period to be clean you have a pretty good chance of passing if you use the macujo method, and a couple days before your test as well as the day of your test.

The longer you can stay clean the better chance you have of passing. Each day counts so it's good you have a heads up.

My test is coming up on either Wednesday or Thursday, and I am only going to be clean for two weeks... I'm using the mac method the day before and the day of and following up with the Omni shampoo the local pipe store sells... Keep me in your prayers and I will keep you in mine. Good luck!

That's almost half clean.

This doesn't help with a hair test. Just a piss test.

They test the first 1.5 inches from the scalp which represents approx. 90 days. Yes you can pass.

If the Aloe Rid is the shampoo, it won't help with the hair test. The Redken is similar to what the Aloe Rid Deep Clarifying Treatment does. By the way at last check Rite Aide drugstore in my area carried both the Redken line and Nexuss line of products.

For starters and minimum treatment in your case. Do the Redken, the MacCujo method the night before and day of the test and buy some Zydot online or at a headshop and use that the day of the test also.

Don't know how to make hair grow faster or thicker or I wouldn't be starting to go bald. Vitamins are good for you but won't help the hair test results.

I'm nervous as I could be. And to top it off, my bf is pissed because I could blow a great job opportunity.

Tell your bf to get fucked and get a better job so you don't have to work.

So only do the MacCujo the two times? Would it be a waste to do it periodically before the time nears? My hairdresser offered to do this for me so hopefully it won't be as messy for me as it is for some people. If I can drag this out till the end of July I'll be clean for 46 days.

Some people have done it for weeks. It won't hurt to do it more than twice. Your hairdresser sounds like a good guy/girl. It does help to have someone do it for you.

No problem on the questions. I like to answer them. I just thought it would be easier if you had your own thread to fall back and see what you have already asked and what the replies where. Your posts won't be buried in the results thread either. Please keep all posts regarding your hair test to this thread and you will get better and faster answers.
Ask away........that is what we are here for. Read to though. There is a lot of good info on this site. When you are done with the hair test questions check out some of the other forums on this site.

I highly (no pun intended) recommend you get the Zydot and use that the day of the test also. The MacCujo/Zydot combo has been getting good results.

I thought this thread was going to be about second hand smoke from a poker game and passing a hair test.

End of July, plenty of time to do Mac's and take advantage of the sun and swimming in pools. You can even do a home test using psychemedics PDT-90.

My internet buddy 1Toke and I differ a little on what a heavy user should do for treatments. I think you should look at bleaching and redying. I had very similar clean time as you will(after 30 years as a chronic), and I smashed the test by bleaching and redying three times over a 45 day period, as well as some other treatments. I don't trust the 1.5 inch 90 day deal.

Check the results thread, my full technique as well as that of several others who successfully bleached and dyed in the last few weeks are there.

1toke, do you know if the omni clarifying shampoo is similiar to zydot? i bought this last week before i heard of zydot - i bought it from the local smoke/pipe shop for detoxifying hair.

i have my test tomorrow morning so i am using the mac method tonight, and tomorrow morning. wish me luck everyone! i will let you know how it goes!

I'm not 1toke, but I can tell you about shampoos. Omni is similar to Toxin Wash. It is a very strong clarifiying shampoo. For me, used alone it was slightly more effective than Zydot. If you can use your Omni prior to using Zydot, the products will compliment each other.

Omni will be more effective if you use a baking soda paste to open the cuticle prior to use.

You are a long time heavy smoker, do some research in the results thread. You have some work to do.
