I got nailed with a hair test. The last time I smoked was 7 weeks ago, not much just a couple of hits. Before that it was a year since I smoked. Does anyone have any info on my chances of passing? thanks

Hair tests will show...in a quarter inch of hair growht, the past 90 days of possible drug use.

robtbo, this is djkidrock. i am on probation with the state of missouri, and they have been doing hair follicle testing here on selected individuals for close to a year now. i have yet to have one done on me (knock on wood) but i talked to a few individuals i personally know have smoked a few hits here and there, and they have had hair follicle tests done afterwards, and theirs came back negative. i cannot explain it, but my geuss would be that it is because of the minute amount that you are doing. at what point is too much without noticing? i don't know. i too take a few hits here and there, but nothing like before. (ounce a week). good luck, and please let us know how you faired out. i do know that they cannot pick up what you have done in the last 5-7 days prior to the test, only urinalysis can. i highly reccomend using "nexxus-aloe vera-rid" shampoo. it is a clarifying shampoo, that works at getting into the hair shaft, and root and cleanses it of any impurities, or toxins. i use it daily. also the color of your hair plays a big factor as to what they can detect. if you do use the shampoo, be advised that it takes 5-7 days of prior use, before it will be of any real use to you. also, i want to add that i know that general nutrition center has helped get plenty of my friends busted, by selling this hair follicle cleanser which is useless. no matter what they claim, it will take two to three bottles of that stuff before you will test clean, and at 50 bucks a bottle, that is way over my budget. so be leary of the hair testing shampoo cleansers, they just screw up your hair and waste your money.

You are right, There is a level you must pass to get a positive result, I came out negative and they did another test! Came out negative again. I understand after some research, that it may show a small amount, but it depends on the level whether or not they consider it positive. I also was told by a couple of labs, It would take a couple of daze of continuous use to surpass most levels. keep rocking and thanks for the reply

hey man, you are welcome! anything i can do to help educate a fellow smoker! i don't have all the answers, but maybe if we band together and communicate, we can find all the answers. that is what i love about this whole marijuana.com the most. today everyone is so spooked about letting anything be known, that it is very difficult to find a lot of answers in a hurry. together we stand, and divided we fall. with your info, i can smoke with confidence a hit here, and a hit there. it really sucks compared to my prior ounce a week ritual, but it's better than chief'n it up in prison. i will rock on, as i am sure you will toke on! any more info. on hair follicle testing that i come across, i will be sure to pass onto everyone here at cheaptalk, and i will send you a private message as well. take care, and keep on keep'n on!

90 days in a quarter of an inch? i read somewhere it was an inch and a half for 90 days. 30 days per half inch. i wouldn't count on keeping your hair really short as an option because then they would probably just take hair from somewhere else.

i don't do math well at all, so i am not gonna B.S. ya, but the word is that normal hair growth is considered to grow 1/64''. yes, 1/64 of an inch per day. the only solid answer i came up with after researching it was 1/64" per day. sorry if i was unclear on that in my earlier postings. i only speak of which i know of. anymore questions and i will be happy to respond if i can help anyone out.

do you guys know the cutt-off levels for coke in the hair? only did it once and been clean 2 months prior to hair testing. I have long black hair and took no preparation whatsover??? am i screwed or what????
