I have another post asking about masking or removing methods, but I had a different question. I have 3 1/2 inch long brown hair. In everyones experience will that suffice for the test or will the nurse want a body hair sample as well. Will they be more tempted to go for the body hair if I trim it down to 1 1/2 or 2 inches? The test is in 2 weeks. If I shave my BH tonight will it grow back to a decent length in that time?

From what I have read of others' hair testing experiences, they go for body hair if your head hair is short. They are more likely to want it if your hair is 1.5". But, even if you leave your hair long, if you are really concerned, the safest bet is to shave it off, if that's an option. 2 weeks of body hair growth is too small to sample.

Yoss, you really have done your homework. Good job(except for the shaving advice).

In theory, as long as you have at least 1.5 inches of head hair, that's what they should take.

In reality, some collectors go for body hair, a Nair treatment that takes most, but not all of your body hair would look less suspicious than just shaving. Make them want to take the hair you have treated.

Thanks. I didn't realize that. I always figured I'd state I was a swimmer, given that I actually was, and have shaved for it before.

I actually just used my beard trimmer on my body and plan on telling them, "Hey, I don't like body hair" The beard trimmer leaves about 1/10 of the hair, like stubble. Doesn't make you look bald all over. Just a thought.
