I have a questions about hair testing. I've been clean now for about 45 days and must submit to a hair test next week for a new job. My hair to normally short (currently about 1") and have used cocaine and marijuana. If I cut my hair back to 1/2" do you think I will pass? Do you think they will take from my head at 1/2" or some other part of my body?

From everything i've read on these boards, they'll probably go for bodyhair if they can't get at least an inch and a half of hair off your head, and that grows ALOT slower.

So I'm pretty much screwed? 1-1/2 inches is the minimum? Any advise that might help?

Your best bet is to cut the head hair way too short for them to take, then treat your arm pits.

If you have a lot of other body hair, be prepared to shave it.

What happens if I come in shaved clean as a naked mole rat except for the pubes and 1/2 inch on my head? Will they be forced to take the 1/2 inch from my head or what?

They'll either take your pubes, fail you, or take finger nail clippings...
