Greetings,

I may have a hair test soon. I was a daily smoker for many years, a bowl or two a night, a quarter would usually last me a couple weeks. I have totally abstained from smoking now for close to 50 days. White male with prematurely graying brown, straight hair.

I have been reading this forum for the past week and found it most helpful. Between Monday and Wednesday I have done the Mac treatment 2x a day followed by Aloe Rid shampoo. Gave my scalp a healing break yesterday. I plan to buy the Aloe Rid Treatment and start using that. I also plan to use Zydot on the day of the test. I also want to do a bleach and dye.

My question is at what point should I bleach my hair, how long before the test is it best to do this?

tia, and lets hope the nasty second-hand rumor about a hair test is not true and they only make me pee. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you have stopped smoking and it has been 14 days or more since your last smoke, it won't matter when you do the treatments. You have 50 days clean. The body stops depositing THC metabolites in the hair shortly after the last time you smoke (2-3 days). Then you have lag time for the hair has to move out of the follicle and far enough out of the scalp for it to be cut. This usually takes 10 days for both processes but I'm going with 14 to be safe. If you successfully clean the hair 14 days after last smoke, no more will be deposited and it won't get "dirty" again. The only other concern is that a little bit of the dye may bleed out from Mac method.

Question, what is test for?

If its for a job offer for a big company, simply call up anonymously and ask about the hiring process.

Small company that knows they are only hiring one person [YOU] your sol. Just one way to make sure.

I should get a hire package next week, I will find out the specifics then :|
