Hi all, i'm doing the pre-employment thing and i know part of that includes a drug test. Initially i assumed it would be a urine test, but then i heard from a friend who worked for them 5 yrs ago that it's a blood test. That may or may not be the case 5 years later, so now i'm getting paranoid. Who knows if nowadays it might even be a hair test?! Since the detection times is different for all 3 of these, i want to find out before walking in there which test i'll be given. Of course, i don't want to be obvious so i'm trying to come up with an idea of finding out w/out having to ask straight out & make myself look suspicious.

I've been clean 15 days now and i plan to stay clean until i'm done w this whole nightmare and i get the go ahead from Human Resources, but right now i'm seeking some peace of mind... If i can find out which test i'll have to submit to atleast i can focus on that & i can relieve some stress. If anyone has any clever ideas on how i can get this info ahead of time, please i beg you...do share.

I should've mentioned in my original post that i had already searched on that website. Unfortunately the company i'm going for is not listed on that website


I have no clue-in as to what they might pull. All i know is that they have an on-site clinic (it's a mental health agency) at the center, but i don't know if they send off lab work somewhere else or any of that. I tried checking the company website to see if i could find a clue, but found nothing.

So the question remains...if anyone has thought of an idea that worked for them before, please share! I'm curious how most people know what they are getting tested for ahead of time? Did your employer tell u exactly what kind of test it'd be beforehand?
