First of all, I want to say how impressed I am at how active Jerry is in this community and this issue, a true Samaritan.

I have a hair test in 6 days.

Drug History: I knew this job was coming so I stopped smoking pretty much altogether. But Zing!!! Hair Test is on Feb 8th. Last time I smoked was Dec. 28ish. Smoked some KB that night with an old friend. Probably only about 5-6 hits. I hadn't smoked anything until just before the end of November. So basically in about 60 days...one smoke session. Before that ...light use through November maybe 10 times. THC is the only drug I'll have in my system to worry about.

My hair is fairly thick, kinda standard brown, I just got it cut yesterday actually to exactly an inch and a half. Also my hair grows very quickly, I'd say over half an inch a month at least.

I am 5'8" about 155 pounds. Fairly quick metabolism

What steps/procedures should I take and should I be very concerned?

Thanks in advance for anyone that responds with help for me.

I would think being a very light user even when I was using for the month of November that I would have very low levels in my hair at this point.

My plan: Going to bleach and re-dye twice, once today..again tommorow. Going to Use the Mac method probably the day of the test and also use Zydot that day.

How many tines have you smoked in the last 90 days?

I'd say probably 7 times give or take a time in the last 90 days. Once about 30 days ago within the last 60 days.

Went out the other day and found some Aloe Rid shampoo (Sally's) and some Nioxin Scalp Therapy (some beauty store that charged a whopping $22 bucks for it). Also got the bleach at Sally's and got some hair dye at Target (on sale!!)

Last night I tried the Mac method and ended up with a slightly red forehead for a few hours! Yikes, but went away easily, after rinsing with the tide also used some Freshair stuff that i'm sure doesn't do crap but oh well. Left my hair feeling a little strange for a little while but it feels close to back to normal today.

Washed with Aloe Rid, Nioxin, then Aloe rid again this evening. The Nioxin has Propylene Glycol listed as the 7th ingredient, looks to contain more than Aloe Rid, although Aloe Rid may serve a different task in combination with the Propylene Glycol. I can actually feel a bit of a tingle from the Nioxin, its odd.

Tonight I am going to bleach and redye my hair. Then two nights from now I am going to bleach and redye my hair again. Figured I'd give the poor hair a couple nights to moisturize a bit.

After reading some of Jerry's posts I am going to take his advice and not combine the bleach/dye method with the Mac method. At this point I am done with the Mac method. Have my doubts about it for sure. Science looks to point towards bleaching being very effective.

Going to continue to use Aloe Rid/Nioxin/then Aloe Rid again for every shower until T day.

The day of the test I am going to use some Zydot which hopefully is getting rushed here as we type.

All this may be a bit excessive due to probably having very low levels but hey this is me making SURE I stick it to the man!

I will post results for all of us sharing this crazy burden.

hair test coming, no real days clean
Here's my story so far...
I posted on the results section but I really need HELP!
I have a hair test next/this week and so far I only have had 7 days clean time since last smoke.
I should be around 10 days clean by test time but I've done my reading so I won't really be clean. Consensus is it takes 10-14 days for the thc meatabolites to to stop being deposited into hair.
I am a light but steady weekend smoker. Had the good stuff back in Nov. and early Dec. and pretty much the dirt since then. I only puff 2 or 3 hits at a time and I figure it totals up to 7 or 8 times use and about 4 bowls worth, again last use was only 7 days ago.
Stats...
Girl (can't cut it my hair!)
long blonde/red hair (bonus) / pry 10 inches long
185 lbs
fair metabolism

What I've done so far...
wed. 1/30 mac at night - vinegar 20min, clean and clear 20min, rinse, tide 5min
thurs. 1/31 nexus aloe rid shampoo in morning and mac at night again
fri. 2/1 nexus aloe rid shampoo and nothing
sat. 2/2 bleached, went platinum!
followed by toxin wash,
then redyed...I did the back underneath only and thankfully it matches perfectly! put in regular hair conditioner and left alone overnight
sun.(today) 2/3 tide wash
vinegar soak (3 min.)
toxin wash (~10 min.)
Nexus Aloe Rid shampoo and conditioner

My plan is to schedule the test for Tues. I figure the sooner the better, the less time for the metabolites to keep being deposited. I'm going to Mac and toxin wash tomorrow night and Mac and Zydot right before the test...

I can't lose this job. Right now I'm a temp. for this company but I have the opportunity to be hired in permanent, $4.50/hr rasie and benefits. Have a son, have a house, and I need this job.

mon (2/4) today - macmethod , vingear, clean and clear, tide, rinse with water
followed by baking soda water
applyed toxin wash and massaged in ~ 10min
rinsed and washed w/ T-gel and conditioned

? - why is mac bad with bleach and redye? I see where it says it is but not why, should I drop this step?

Change plan...
ZYDOT is lost in the feakin mail...
I'm going in today. I'm going to toxin wash 2 or 3 times and suck it up.

Is anyone going to take a guess if it'll work for me?

I'll post in a week or so and let you know if it worked for me. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

I found generic Aloe Rid actually and PG is listed in the ingredients....it is fairly low on the list however, maybe just a reduced version? Also, I usually use herbal essences (hey, it smells delicious!) and I noticed it also had PG in it as well. Probably not a BAD thing that I had been using it (near) daily.
