I have been looking at this site and there is lots of information. I think that it have saved lots of people... I hope I will be one of them.

The Skinny:

I have been 25 days clean. Blonde Hair. I have a test coming soon. I am suppost to take it next week... after 32 days clean, but I am going to delay it another week. So, I will take it around day 38-42. I was a everyday smoker before I quit.


After research I decided to do the bleach (40 proof) and redye meathod. I will cut my hair short on day 30 to about an inch so they can still do the test I read that Nexxas Aloe Rid works for some people so I got some. Been washing 2x a day. I also have a pack of zydot and am going to follow the directions to a T. An interesting bit of info is that the company just said drug test, not hair test. I heard through a friend that it is a Hair Test. So they haven't said anything about having hair a certin legnth.


My questions:

Does Paul Mitch work better?
When is the best time to bleach?
I saw that Jerry G laughs at people shaving their body hair... Should I skip this step?

Aloe Rid shampoo does nothing, it it the discontinued treatment with propylene glycol that helps.

You need to read all my posts and take my comments in context, there are times it makes sense to shave parts of your body, and there are times it make no sense.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the aloe rid shampoo and you are right. It does not have that ingredient that you mentioned. Is there another brand you suggest before I bleach?

I have read a hundred posts on here and as far as I understand it I can shave my body hair at this point (25 days clean) and just say I do it for personal reasons. All the hair that grows back will be clean.

On day thirty I can shave my head to 1/2 inch and it should be clean naturally.

What is better... Shaving my head to 1/2 inch on day thirty or leaving my hair one inch and doing the bleach / Zydot meathod?

And two more things (Sorry if you have to spoon feed me, I have read a lot on here and still have questions)... Does the P.M. shampoo still work unlike the discontinued Aloe Rid? At what point should I bleach and redye my hair... just before the test or the week before?

I went in and had my hair collected for a test the other day. The young lady who did the collection was quite talkative and I was able to get some info from her about the procedures that they follow for collection. She told me that when the person comes in, the first thing they look at is their head, if there is enough hair then they take the sample unless the person indicates that they don't want the sample taken from their head(risk of bald spots). After that, they pretty much go down the list of collection sites as they are listed on the chain of custody form used for the lab. #1= head, #2= chest, #3= underarm/s, #4= leg/s. If you are a guy, and you have really short hair and little or no body hair, they will call in a male tech to take the sample from the groin.
I have really short hair and was sure that they would not take the sample from my head so I just treated my body hair (chest, arms & underarms). I also shaved my legs to eliminate them as a collection site and had an explanation all ready should they ask ,they didn't, I didn't even have to take my pants off so it never even came up. The tech saw my short hair and just asked me if I knew that this was a hair test. I said yes, but I always keep my hair this short. The tech then asked me to remove my shirt, when she saw my hairy chest, she said that that was all she needed to collect the sample. I now have a 2" x 2" bald spot right in the middle of my chest. She used scissors to cut it off, not a razor, so she didn't get the hair right next to the skin.
Now I'm waiting the 5-7 business days to not hear anything(you will only hear back if there is a problem or you failed) and start the new job on the 15th.


I hope this info helps any of you that have yet to take the test and are stressing on what its going to be like. I wish I had known this in advance, then I would not have shaved my legs, cause now they are all stubbly and itchy.

P.S., the tech said that the lab (Psychemedics) sent someone over to show them how to do the collection, so I assume that the procedure will all be the same everywhere.

I have already shaved my body hair and my head is short. I don't think they will be able to get a sample from anywhere on my body, only the head.

The company i am getting a job for has NOT said it is a hair test... only a friend of mine. They said that I need to go in and take a physical, so when the they ask if I knew it was a hair test I will say no and I assumed it was a urine test otherwise I would not of shaved my body hair. If they ask about why I shave I will simply say higiene (can't spell).

I can't imagine not being hired because my hair is to short (1/2 inch to one inch on top and no body hair) especially because they did not tell me it was a hair test and I assumed it is a urine test. (I've never heard of a hair test. They really test from hair? wow, news to me. Wish I would of known... I wouldn't of shaved my balls last night)
