Hello, been a while since I've posted, but here is my situation. I will have to take a hair test for a job that I so desperately want, but here's the catch, the jobs mine when I want it.I Have been a heavy smoker the past 3-4 months(smoke mutiple times daily) I have dark brown hair that grows very fast. I just had my hair buzzed to a 1 the other day. I've been clean now for 8 days and plan on keeping it that way for a while. I've researched and am fully aware of the 90 day + dection time. Without doing anything of the methods to detox my hair what kind of time frame am I looking at to pass a hair test. Should i continue to get my hair buzzed every 2 weeks or so? I really wasn't even planning on formally applying for the job until May. Should I go ahead and shave all the hair off my body? if i have this much time until the test? Sinced I haven't smoked in over a week.. is the thc done getting into my hair? Please help..my aniexty level is through the roof due to my withdrawals..

Wait another week, get your hair buzzed to a #1 again. Then let it grow until May when you have your test. You can shave your body hair now, and let it grow out just in case they want to use it, but if you have long enough head hair, that is what they will take.

Your best bet for passing any drug test, is not to take it until you KNOW you can pass it.

Thanks for the response, so basically if I waited 4-5 months I should be fine as long as I have my hair cutt and my body shaved in about 10 days?

You only need to wait 3 months, not 4-5. The catch: You can't use marijuana during that time. (I just wanted to make that clear).

So let me get this straight so when you quit smoking weed and wait about 14 days.. all of the thc will have passed into your hair. So after 14 days.. any hair that grows will be clean? Even though I wouldnt be able to pass a urine test?

If your a heavy smoker.. I'm thinking that you need to wait as long as long as it takes you to pass a urine test.to be able to start trimming down all your hair down and not worrying if the new hair has thc in it. Think about it.. thc will take an average of 30 days or even 45 if your a heavy smoke to get out of your system. Seems to make sense that while the thc is leaving your system it would travel in the blood and pass into your hair still.
