| I know that people are saying that if you abstain from smoking for roughly 3 days before getting a blood test, you'd be fine. but is this true for really heavy smokers as well? my test is on march 1, so i have roughly 1.5 weeks. However, i just wanted to know my chances because i'm a pretty heavy smoker. Usually, i only smoke on weekends (fri-sun), but when i do, it's in larger quantities say, maybe 2-4 times a day (but i'd say no more than probably an eighth a weekend). this past week however, i smoked every day for 6 days straight, and in those 6 days finished off about a quad (but that was shared with my boyfriend who smokes way more than i do and a bunch of moochers that we had to smoke out) so i'd say personally no more than an 8th. what are my chances? :/ i was planning on smoking tomorrow because i've been really stressed out lately. would 5-6 days of abstinence keep me safe on the blood test? |

| Well, the BEST way to pass is to NOT smoke until the test is over, for starters. You smoke because you are stressed about smoking? Lol. Since it is usually only detectable for 72 hours, even in extreme cases, seems like a week and a half would be sufficient. But there are others on here with more experience with blood testing I am sure. |
