Aight I was just informed Friday that I need to pass a hair drug test for a pre-employment screen...the tester is Psychemedics...

Im a moderate to heavy smoker...2-4 j's a day...the test is on MONDAY...it's currently SATURDAY night

High metabolism/skinny
20's
Long THICK 'african american type hair'

Soo I've been researching for hours straight...and have already bought and received my Ultra Clean..and some Folliclean shit...I had a hook up

Putting a relaxer in my hair is not a option, I am willing to bleach and recolor is though...

I heard it's harder for black folk to pass b/c our hair retains chemicals more...and since Im a heavy smoker and I have ALOT of hair....

Should I go ahead and bleach/redye/ultra clean or should i just pass on the job...it's a good job like shit 2

I would at least attempt to get the job. IF you don't pass you are no worse off than you are now. If you do pass the hair test and get the job, it will have been worth it.

Bleach (twice), then redye to your original color. Then you can wash with your ultraclean and folliclean.

Only then, you can condition to try to get your hair feel somewhat normal.

What are u using to redye after bleaching, Permerant dye or temporary? Can I rinse with any shampoo?

Do you think the Mujucco(sp) method or a hydrogen/bleach/aloe rid mix would help me at all?

I was reading in the other (black) girl Penne's post, Jerry recommended dying her hair twice with box dye?

See with black people we can't just be bleaching our hair twice and shit, I mean our hair will literally fall out in the sink so it's not as easy a option with us. Our hair can get VERY brittle very quickly and then u bald.

But I would dye my hair wit permanent dye multiple times...would that help?

I did not recommend the box dye.

I always advocate products from the beauty supply store.

You want ammonia and peroxide in the dye.

I think that dying is as important as bleaching, So I recommend bleaching and redying twice.

Multiple dyes are better than nothing for sure.

For the 100th time, AloeRid shampoo does nothing, it is the discontinued treatment that had a high percentage of propylene glycol that was effective in reducing metabolites.

Wash out the bleach and the dye with a swimmers shampoo that is high in PG if you can't get your hands on Toxin Wash.

okay I found out friday that i had a hair test for monday, I am a heavy smoker at least 3 to 4 bowls a day, I am heavy set and I smoked friday right before I found out i had to take a hair test, I HAD natural african hair, I did the muccujo method 3 times and a baking soda soak before I permed my hair, I did the muccujo once fully after I permed it (which was and still is HORRIBLE and I and ive been washing with aloe rid and tide since this morning since i dont think i could physically take another muccujo cause my scalp is literally raw! Plus before i go in for my test i plan on using clear choice as well, do you think i have a chance at passing this thing now??

This is what I did, I'll let u know wat my results were when I get them back:

I sew a weave in my hair, meaning the majority of my real hair is braided with only the front of my real hair out...so it's more then enuff hair for them to cut and test from but not my entire head of hair...

So I only have to deal with the front of my hair I have out, the rest is braided and cannot and will not be cut they have about 4 inches of hair to choose from starting from my hairline back, and my hair is shoulder length, I'll tell em I have a weave I know they aren't that stupid...and then I'll let them know the front is my hair and the back is fake hair...This way I only had to treat the front of my hair..so IF I dont get the job atleast ALL my hair isn't fucked...today I

-Put a relaxer : Just for Me for Coarse hair...the main ingredient was PG
-I dyed my hair, one of the ingredients in the dye was PG and ammonia... also rinsing both the relaxer and dye out with a swimmers shampoo high in PG
-Tomorrow morning Im doing a Muccjo...followed by Folliclean...followed by a Zydot treatment

Then off to the test. Wish me luck!!

I permed hair with relaxer yesterday and i've been doing bs paste and washing it with tide, i couldn't find swimmers shampoo but I found a baby lotion the main ingredient besides water was pg and when i put that in it felt like hell so im guessing it was doing what it needed to do.
