I've been looking through these forums a lot and have found mixed results to my questions, so I thought I'd start my own thread.

Generally, what has been your experience w/African American hair and the hair drug test? Do I have any chance of passing if I've been in contact with marijuana in the past few months?

Also, I only had a couple of hits in January/early February one night, and nothing since. I am not a regular smoker and prior to that smoked very little in September and October. Do you think I'll pass?

Today I bought vinegar, clean & clear, and tide - any other suggestions you have I really appreciate!

im not a genius on this, but a lot of people have been substituting vinegar w/ baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda, 1 part water). check out the results thread above.

There are some other things African-Americans can do. I Have the very dark curly hair, jew like, and I have the same concern. I highly recommend going to the African-American hair product isle in walmart and picking up a few things. Get a calcium hydroxide hair relaxer kit and do it, don't use the conditioner, make sure you use the shampoo (decalcifier part of the process). This will make your hair open nice and good. Following that you want to use your Tide and a product called Permatex Blue label, this is a hand cleanser found near GoJo. Also pick up PRO-LINE COMB-THRU product number 7298200110. This has the Propylene Glycol and Triethanolamine found in zydot and Toxin wash. This will help the damage you have done to your hair and also help rid toxins. You should use this both as a shampoo in your routine and as your hair styling product. After you have done the relaxer and this step go for the vinegar and leave it in your hair for long long time. After long long time add the clean and clear. Leave in long long time. rinseX5 with tide.
REPEAT multiple times before test.

zil20 It depends on your hair length and how much exposure you have had to weed. They test for carboxyl THC. That is the metabolite your body produces with conjunction of inhaled THC.. Good luck.

What about the bleach & redye method? I've seen a few successes in the results thread, but I don't think any of them specify race.


So, are there any african-americans who've passed/failed the test using bleach and redye?

optomistictopass - have you tried this extensive procedure and has it worked?

i have short hair that i don't think grows very fast. im hoping that because i didn't smoke much (literally 3 or 4 puffs approximately 2 months ago), that i never even had high enough levels of THC in my system. however, i'm going to do all that i can this week just to be extra sure

Try and stick to the facts as we know them. You have good theory, but you are presenting this program like it has actually been successful.

Aside from the relaxers, you have absolutely no idea if this will work.

TW has no propylene glycol.
