Hey Jerry any insight on my previous question #28 regarding the zydot and baking soda

Ok just did baking soda followed by full zydot treatment using 2 packages and am a little worried that the one once total of purifier did nothing I was barely able to cover my scalp let alone the rest of my hair. Cost me $110. Let me hope they take samples from the few hairs it did cover. I hope the shampoo does something also as that lathered up fine. Gawd my hair is soooo damaged breaking off sores all over head and itches like nothing else but I am still on my way to the test. I really hope I pass for all I went through. I wish the zydot included more than 1/2 oz liquid purifier. Guy at head shop recommended all clear saying it was root clean and repeat buyer s and had 2 oz of the gel. But I wanted to follow jerrys method. Next time I would rather quit that to ever do this again. Maybe not so bad if you have short hair. OK will let you know how test goes then Im sparkin up soon as I get back dammit.

Omg the lady that did the test was a total B***H she cut one huge chunk right from the center of my head ( using what appeared to be old rusty scissors). I was told by everyone at work that they take 3 sections so those are the areas I focused on most with the zydot. Gawd I pray it covered the spot she took. THen I was turning around and she said no stay there (with my back toward her) then she said ok sign this and this and initial this. She had already wrappped up the hair and did who knows what to it with me not looking. I asked her how do I know thats my hair. I said I would like to see how much you took and she said no coped and attitude and said if you want your job then sign. I have had many hair tests in the past and I have always had to seal the envelope myself and watch the entire process not be excluded from it completely. Man it makes me want to chop of 10 inches of hair and go to my employer and say you said hair test and now Im bald and sue them but thats a lil far fetched. Now Im left with hair that feels like plastic and hopefully my job. well for now..... I assume I passed if I dont hear anything by the 10th of the month. 10 days from now



Thanks to jerry and sec for all your advice I was much more confindent than I wouldve been but now iM more paranoid than ever bc I may not have a job. What is ment to be in ment to be.

What company is conducting the test? If it is psychemedics, you could call them and complain about the protocol this woman used. The protocol states that you are not to let your hair out of your site until it is sealed in the envelope. You know, the little red seal that you initial???


That might help you feel like you "got even with her" for being such a bitch. At best, they will make her take re-training. At worst, they will disqualify her from doing hair tests again in the future.

Other than that, you could let it go. hope for negative results and put this entire thing behind you. If you decide to complain, I would wait until I got the results. That way, it doesn't call attention to your hair specimen until after it is all said and done at the lab.

yes company is psychemedics and I have never seen anything like it. SHe said I cant show you bc I will not debate and argue. FOr what!!! She had already cut my hair. I know she took way more than needed maybe thats why she didnt want to show me. It doesnt look like she cut very close to the scalp either. I am praying that all the bleach and dying did enough. She took the sample right at the sore so maybe that spot had the most chemical burn. Im hoping and yes I will complain to my employer if it is a positive result. Thanks a lot sec. All this prep to have it go down like that.

I agree with SEC, thats BS the way she did that. I went to quest on monday, and they made me also give a u/a, even though I was paying for this on my own for private purposes. She made me seal the u/a with a red thing, but I was never asked to initial it. She took 3 diff spots of hair, but (and I have thin short hair) you still couldnt really tell any was missing. There was, however, no seal put onto the hair sample. It was put into a tiny brown envelope, and I again signed nothing, though I dont think she was out to get me as I saw her package it together in a DHL bag bound far las vagas. What you guys said though does make me paranoid, wish had made me sign a seal over my samples........


Make sure you post your results either way.

Also, I think the reason the bleach works is again why sec said, it damages the hair. I have a theory that macs method uses acid that sits on the hair long enough to eat the cuticle away exposing it for the tide, a strong base, to bind with the contams in the cortex of the hair where the drug metabolites are stored, and then purge or dissolve them, though I cant be for sure. Also, I read something that said Iodine in a u/a eats up the drug contaminates, assuming this is true, I think either an acid to eat the cuticle away (like macs method) or a base to open it (like jerry says) followed by iodine might help eat the contams in the hair as well, but again I cant be for sure, no experience or research on this. As to which one would work better, that is also speculative.

So.... its been 10 days since test day and have't heard anything and cringe every time my phone rings like I am expecting the call that I didnt pass. They will not call if I passed so I am aware that no news is good news. People at work are saying it takes 2 weeks and when I went to the lab they had at least 30 people from my company alone that were awaiting tests so I am thinking maybe they could have so many that they need to process it might take longer than normal. I've worked everyday since the test and I am more paranoid now than b4 the test although I did do everything possible to prepare and feel I have at least an 80% chance as my hair is so damaged to the point of breaking however I have gotten it to the point no one has noticed that I have a greenish / grayish tint do to all the bleach and dye

I am honestly thankful for this entire site and what you do for people If I passed it was bc of the help and support I received on this site and everything I did was completely worth it if I passed AND extremely painstaking especially the baking soda,i t was extremely harsh how bad I didnt want to do it, it is a very important key. All together with the aloe rid tx $70 for 4 bottles bc I had fast ship and the toxin wash 2 packs $105 and the bleach and redye $45 and the first 2 mac tx $15 and the tide $5, I spent roughly $250 on treatments but had short time to prepare. No regrets if I pass and the job is only $20,000 a year but I enjoy it. Im not going to count my chickens for another 4-5 days but looks good so far. Will let ya know then. I think 2 weeks is plenty of time to call it good huh.

If you fail the hair test are you always contacted by the MRO? I might have counted my chickens a bit early. Received a message from HR supervisor I'm too scared to call him back. He does not ever call people. I am a contractor placed at a long term job site and my actual employer is who called and I never deal with them only the supervisors at the job site. Oh gawd just when I thought it was over. There is no othe possible reason for him to call me. I did a lot to prepare and hate to call to hear Im fired. Gawd what to do.

Ok that was close. Phone call not related to drug test. Assuming I passed at this point its been 3 weeks today and I cannot worry about it anymore. Anyone who is uncertain of which method to use and are a heavy smoker I strongly suggest Jerry's method. I believe it gives a 99% chance of passing and I am proof. Good luck all and thanks Jerry.
