I have smoked only about 5 times in my life, the most recent time being April 16th. This was the only time in the past six months. I took about 10 hits out of a small piece. Yesterday I found out that I have to take a hair test for my new job on June 9th. This gives me about 55 days between the last time I smoked and the test. I am thinking about getting an at home test soon to see if it'll be positive or not. How accurate are those, and is it worth doing. What are my chances of passing the real one?? right now I am freaking out. Any help would be appreciated.

I just wanted to say that I can totally sympathize. I am in literally the exact same situation. Makes you feel like a total idiot for doing it when you did, doesn't it? Haha. I know I feel that way. Why couldn't I just wait a couple weeks?

The people of the internet tell me that couple of small uses will not show up, but I'm still worried. I've been doing MacCuj0's and washing my hair with Tide instead of Shampoo.

I've written my entire story, along with the bulk of my research, and what I've tried thus far, in my thread "Impending Hair Analysis." It is a bit verbose, but pretty thorough. You might find some useful stuff there.

I imagine that you can pass, but you may want to investigate precautionary measures. Many of them do reduce THC levels in your hair, and if nothing else, they will definitely alleviate a good deal of your anxiety during the waiting process.

If you have any questions, ask. I have spent countless hours over the past few weeks researching the topic and would much like to help anyone going through the same thing as me.

Thanks for the support, this stuff can get pretty stressful. Any further word on when your test is?? Also, have you looked into taking an at home test?? Not sure if those are very accurate, but at least it will let you know where you stand.

Hi all. I've been an everyday smoker for the last 5 months and found out 2 days ago i'm going in for a hair test. the second i found out, i did the mac method using nexxus aloe rid once everyday. 3 times total. what are the chances of me passing?
I'm about 5'08" 180lbs. asian if that helps. thanks in advance!!!
oh i did my hair test thing today. i hope i frikkin pass...

The Mac method has very poor results for heavy smokers with little clean time. Some pass but most don't.

I suspect you will fail. Sorry.

took my test today, only smoked 1 time in the last 3 months (about 10 hits). I have done 2 macs, and 2 washes with baking soda paste followed by tide, and i used zydot this morning. My only question is whether companies ever ask pyschmedics to use a zero cutoff to ensure that employees havent been exposed to a drug at all??
