Alright. So I tried bleaching myself. Terrible results. My hair is now slightly lighter in patches. I decided not to even try the dye. My new plan: Baking Soda w/ Swimmer's Shampoo all week Mac Method every day as well probably. Toxin Wash, plus baking soda w/ swimmer's shampoo day of test. (this friday) Should that be enough or should I go for a professional bleaching and redying? Or is it overkill? Any suggestions? What do you think? Last edited by bassec : 04-29-2008 at 05:24 AM.

Has the company you are trying to get a job with saw you before?? if so i would highly suggest trying the dye....if you go in looking different, they might suspect something....i had my hair bleeched professionally...for a bleach redye and cut she charged my $75...it might be higher depending on where you live....if you want to pass your test you should stick to the plan you had....

if you're going to go through having it done prof. i would let them use the products they have...generally it is more potent that what the general public can buy at a beauty supply store....

Ok. One bleach/redye done. The guy was so confused when I asked him, but agreed to it anyways. $75 though, damn. On top of the self bleaching/coloring stuff I bought, and the Toxin Wash, I'm almost at $200. If I do baking soda w/ swimmer's shampoo and then a Toxin Wash the day of the test, should I be fine to NOT do a second bleach/redye, given my history?

I am currently testing one bleach/redye vs two or more however that is what Jerry G recomends using his method....one time has not been tested that much and even if i pass my test with only one time there hasnt been enough people to test to get a success rate for only one time...any time you alter the advice given with the method, you take a risk of not being succesful....

Ok. I'll try it again on Thursday. One question...the bleach and redye...what causes it to work? Is it the physical bleaching and redying or is it the washing out afterwards? I had it done earlier today, and they washed it out with regular shampoo I imagine. Should I have came home and did a baking soda w/ swimmer's shampoo treatment?
