My husband had a hair test today for a new job...about 1 inch was cut maybe? He smoked a few hits 45 days ago and hit a one hitter that had literally nothing in it about a month ago. and has had 2 hair cuts since then. Any thoughts on if he has a chance of passing this test...no real prep was taken as we assumed this was a urine test but not so lucky

If he's smoked 2 times in 60 days, thats equal to about 3 times in 90 days...this should put him right on the border of passing and failing. It could really go either way, best of luck to him.

I'm still awaiting the results of my test, in a similar situation, but with less hair taken (3/4 inch), more time since my last smoke (64 days, and only a couple of times in the month before that), and a bit of preperation (PM3, baking soda, Zydot). I'm estimating a good chance of passing for myself, but its definately hard not to be nervous.

He smoked a few hits and a one hitter. That is a bit different than smoking a couple of joints and a blunt. I know, we really try to consider each session as a whole and not take quantity of that session into account, but really; this guy had what??? 4-5 hits total in the past 90 days?

I'll stick with my original odds.

Thanks everyone i of course am looking for comfort more than anything here as we all know there is nothing we can do now but wait....
I know he has not smoked much per se and I have no clue if body mass and health have anything to do with this but he is not overweight he works out and drinks tons of h20 ...he did an over the counter pee test and passed it on Sunday ...i just keep reading how accurate these hair tests are and 90 days ....the guy who took his sample said 45 days not 90 for what it's worth.....in the past 45 days he has had 2 hair cuts as well...
he has still not heard anything and the test was done tues at 4:20 i swear it says 4:20 on the sheet ...go figure.
Anyway, my home has never been so tense, we are so worried sick.
I just hope he finds out on Fri...

Good luck! I think he has a decent shot but like you said - it's just waiting now.

still no word.......WTF!
How looooong does this take?? Is it bad we have not heard yet and it is Fri???? I read 24-48 hrs for neg and up to 72 for pos..is this the standard for ALL labs...
The company uses Quest diagnostics....
