I have been totally clean for 10 months, and recently about 3 to 4 weeks ago i met an old friend and he was smoking in front of me. Of course, I gave in, but only took one very small toke. As Murphy would have it, 2 weeks ago I got a call from an excellent job and they sent me in to do a hair test today. Is that one small toke enough to trigger the hair test as a dirty drop?

When testing for drugs, what are the differences between hair testing cut-off levels and urine testing cut-off levels?

Urine cut-off levels are expressed in nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) or as a weight of drug per unit volume of urine. Hair cut-off levels are expressed in picograms per milligram (pg/mg) or as a weight of drug per unit weight of hair. ------------------------------------------------------------------So when everyone gets so scared about 1 pigogram being one trillionth of a gram, it is really just a unitweight ratio. It's not that the test is so much more sensitive, it is just that hair is so much lighter than piss. A cutoff is a cutoff.------But everyone already knows they can go back much further.

One small hit or even one session should not show as positive on a hair test. You should be just fine.
