| I personally chose to go to school in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina because I visited and loved the city, even with the devastation. So for those who aren't fortunate enough to have visited this great city (attend a jazz funeral, spend some time at Rock and Bowl, have a drink at Miss Mae's, walk down Magazine, listen to live music at Tipitina's, and all the other great things NOLA has to offer) and are curious about New Orleans from a first hand perspective the year or so following Katrina, I recommend 1 Dead In Attic. | Live it everyday. I first heard about this book on writer/chef Anthony Bourdain's show. Seems like a good read.
