Desperado

I bought this book a while back under the impression that it was a drug induced fantasy with trips glore.

When I read it though, only 130 pages long, it turns out my prejeduce was wrong and it is really just a childrens book with a little bit of clever woven into it.

Sure chapter five is called "adivce from a catapillar" and the worm is constantly taking hits from its Hookah, but... It is not that trippy... that is the only time any form of smoking is mentioned.. and WHAT he is smoking is never mentioned.. He is described as "tired" while he speaks though...

"For minutes it puffed away without speaking; but at last it unfolded it's arms, took the hookah out it it's mouth again" (page 45).... "in a minute or two, the catepillar took the hookah out of its mouth, and yawned once or twice" (page 49)

I dont Know.. "White Rabbit" by Jefferson airplane seemed to have been a little off base when they wrote that song...

And that Disney movie changed alot from this book...
