| This book is one of the best books ever.. It was almost outlawed because it had explicit sex scenes and talked a lot about hard drugs other than marijuana... It's cool.. this junkie from the 20s or so goes into an alternate dimention and it talkes about this Crab preast that buys some guy and rapes him.. and all this weird sex stuff.. And something about if you hang someone and have sexual intercourse with them at the same time their soul flows into your body.. and throughout the book this happens like 6 times... It is by William Burroughs.. you should check up on this guy his books are really trippy... He is a genus and if you like Nirvana William Burroughs was one of Kurt's mentors... so check out William Burroughs when you get the chance.. | |

| Yeah, it's a crazy book to read too because he wrote it when he was completely cranked up...sometimes hard to understand. He was also somewhat of a main character in On the Road by Jack Kerouac (which, as most of you guys probably know is pretty much autobiographical)...he used to just shoot up and sit in his chair all day...which is pretty bad considering he had kids (his wife was a major junkie too). | |

| ya that dude was cool.. He made a machine that makes you tripp out called the Dream Caster... He made it with Kurt Cobain.. i wana try that out someday... Ya his books are really hard to follow.. Junkie was a good book by Burroghs.. Berroughs use to be a marijuana pusher wich is pritty cool.. in Junkie he like explains the "laws" of smoking marijuana and how marijuana users are way different that junkies in the way that marijuana users are a lot more friendly and everything.. well anyone else ever read William Burroughs? | |

| My brother read Naked Lunch, he really enjoyed it. I love beat authors, Kerouac's one of my favorites. One of these days I'll get around to Burroughs.

| I haven't read the book but I bought the movie after I saw it. Very interesting and different; I can only imagine what the book is like.

| I tried reading the book a while ago. It was too weird for me and I didn't really understand what was going on half the time. I'll def pick it up again sometime because everyone I know who has finished the book says its awesome even though its real crazy. I love Jack Kerouac though. I'm reading Dharma Bums now and I'm almost done with it. Sick book. ~Tim

| Yeah, Naked Lunch is a cool book. I've read "Junkie" by the same guy (William S. Burroghs) and I thought it was cool. Although, it was really all about his use of another heavy drug it was very well written. I have not read a book about weed before, but some of the best books I've read are about the same type of drug that William S. Burroghs uses in both naked lunch and junkie and they have been awesome. These are my top 3 fave books (I guess drugs like the one Burroghs uses make more powerful stories because of the nature of the addiction, but that drug is dumb. Someone should write a good story about a couple of stoners . hehe)Awesome Books: - Candy by Luke Davis - Junkie Love by Phil Shoenfelt - Junky by William S. Burroghs |

| Got given a CD of his spoken word material recently. Haven`t got around to listening to it, yet. May do so tonight.
