Ah.. I don't remember the author, but it's a good book. It's a fictional biography of a Geisha. A japanese entertainer for the unlearned. It's set from like 20 years before WW2 to like.. 90's I guess, the book kinda wraps up after the war but... It details a good deal of japenese culture and the training and life of a geisha.
And who ever can define "Mizuage" gets a cookie.

A friend of mine read it, it's supposed to be a very very good book, I've only browsed a bit in it. Gotta read it some time, it's very long though, which usually deters me from reading a book, stupid me
