Cool

Does anybody besides me love to read books that are considered sacred or books that are about philisophy and religion and politics? I know that some of my favorite books have to do with these topics, for example:
~"Tibetan Book Of the Great Liberation" that book is so interesting-some day ill read the Tibetan Book of the Dead
~Plato's writings, "The Republic" and such
~"Guerrilla Warfare" by Che Guevara
~"Rights of Man" by Thomas Paine, he was one of the guys who gave the founding fathers and revolutionaries fuel for the fight against Britain
Those are just a few, y'all give some input-herb smokers are good thinkers, I know y'all read some deep stuff
~peace~

Check out anything by Herman Hesse too, kind of in a similar vein. Check out Siddhartha and Demien for sure.

I have read the Celestine Prohecy, but I did not finish it. I wish I had, and now I can't find it, but i'll finish it sometime and then buy the Tenth Insight - the sequel.

I want to know if anyone has ever read any books by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh? He is also known as Osho. There's tons of books by this insightful philosopher. Everything is written so neatly, and anyone who reads even just a short paragraph will gain something. I was reading an interview w/Bhagwan, he says he does not think of himself as a philosopher, I forget really what was said.

My dad reads alot of zen and passes ideas on to me .. while smokin some bud ... he gives me books to read

Maryjane,

If you have a local barnes and noble look there for your tenth insight book. I found Celestine Prohecy and Tenth insight as 1 book for like 6 bucks in the bargin area.

Your dad sounds cool, handing down books that make you think.

I don't go to B&N much because I think Borders if so much better ... but I have seen both redfield books at Half Price Books, i'll get em there. It's a good chain of book stores, everything in there is half the cover price. You can get a 12 dollar book for 6.

Default Castaneda anyone?

Check out The teachings of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda, awesome spiritual books that really make you think, and a great story to accompany the awesome ideas held within.

Also check out some of Scott Cunninghams books on earth magic, those are great reads. If your a fan of Dark books read Satans Harvest, its about the devil posessing a man in my hometown.
