In all honesty, the most addictive substances I've ever tangled with have been caffeine, pain-killers, and nicotine. I have relatives with alcohol addiction problems as well. I am very sensitive to caffeine -- trust me, you'd rather have me behind the wheel stoned that juiced up on that stuff. Slim

I hear you, I'm additcted to caffeine, i tired to break it cold turkey over the summer, ended up twitching in th shower. I also many prescription medication are addictive and with a prescription legal. My mother was addicted to sleeping pills and had to go through couseling to come off of them.....but the addictive nature of something only justifies it's regulation, not prohibition.

I would actually recommend getting this book. Not because it’s good, but because it’s laughable. Dude that book sounds funny as hell. I would love to pull that baby out when a bunch of stoners are over half baked.

It may be laughable to the better informed, but unfortunately, the target audience of the book (probably the ignorant masses) will eat lies like that up like all you can eat pizza. It's a shame crap like that gets published.

They should have limits on the first amendment: "No passing false statements off as truth." That would be good because when we tell of the harmlessness of marijuana and they try to take us to court they'd have to prove that we're wrong and it would end up proving themselves wrong and the whole government would go to jail yippeee!

| Remember if you buy this book, you're paying money to the author. Do you really want such an author to make more money from such a book when you feel strongly against the ideas in it? She will feel more vindicated about her writing and beliefs if more people buy it. An alternative - try your local library and see if they've got it. | |
