| yeah its a stunning read but some bits will turn your stomach. some of its also in heavy scottish dialect, so you'll have to read some of it aloud to get your head round it. if you've seen the film then you'll remember old begbie, the womanbeating psycho who throws the pint over the railing in the pub scene. well, in the book you get a nice first person perspective of that event and several other less tastefull ones..and thats saying something. deeply psychological and not for the fainthearted. think Sid Vicious doing a running social commentary while whacked out on off-topics.

| ^ ^ya begbie was quite a character; gotta love robert carlyle. the part that scared me the most was at the end when he was tripping out on heroin, damn that looks scary. |

| cool. do you know if they made porno a movie (haha what a funny pun) like trainspotting? i think its more fun to watch the movie first, then read the book. in most cases when you read the book first then see the movie youre like "that movie sucked compared to the book", and hate the movie. but if you see the movie first then read the book youre like " dang that books was awesome but the movie was good too". thats my philosophy anyway. |
