Surely you've seen hot rods with flames coming from the exhaust.

Yes, thats the effect when you have a rich fuel mixture that doesnt completely burn in the cylinder; the flames get pushed out of the exhaust where they come into contact with oxygen and the flame ignites.

And thats one reason why top fuel dragsters and other hot rods shoot flames out of the exhuast sometime.

One way you could make your exhuast into a flame thrower, would be to run your fuel mix slightly rich and then rig a fuel inector into the ehuast system at the beginning of the exhuast manifold. The ignition system at the exhuast pipe could be as simple as a spark plug or a stun gun wired to arc between to screws in the pipe. And you should run an oxygen and NOx bottle into the pipe just before the ignition device; to acheive consistent ignition. Then you could wire the fuel injector, ignition device and Gas Rig to one control box on your dash board with safety switches and an ignition button.

Another note. In the wrong hands. yes, this text can be incredibly dangerous, but i think most of us can handle what would work and what not to even think about...under these conditions i say it's still cool because it usually gives me other ideas for small rockets/explosives/flaming devices to screw around with on the weekends away from people. I love blowing stuff up but im damn safe about it.

i read it a couple years ago, when i was into blowing things up too. Never tried anything like that, but i did make some cool explosions just mixing black powder and rocks. I wasnt too careful about till i almost blowed up my hand off, so then i stoped blowing things up, but i sure did have a great time....

Seriously though, I almost got in some serious sh!t because that stupid book. Arson. That dam* book was to tempting for a 15 year old and ended up with 50 foot flames that almost burned down my entire neighborhood. But, the cop told me just to go home so I did. Some of the stuff will work, as long as you dont follow any of the directions given. LSD synthesis from rye mold because it creates ergot. stupid. Orange peels with toothpaste is supposed to be Ls D.ont be fooled, it only makes penicillin.
