I just read Howl and Other Poems by Ginsberg. It's so beautiful I still can't describe it in words.

I really dug a book called The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. It's about the universe and string theory and m-theory and all of that stuff. It's put into terms though that someone without a history of physics and science can understand. Checking out the movie What the Bleep as a precursor will kind of give you an idea of what to expect. Very cool, very trippy, it was really a paradigm shift for me.

I love George Orwell's books 1984, Down and Out in Paris and London and Animal Farm. Another interesting book is "A Magic Life" a biography of Aleister Crowley. He was a strange Satanic man but a big inspiration to Jimmy Page.

| I've recently finished On the Road by Kerouac which I just loved. Now I'm working on the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test partially because I'd started it a couple years ago but never finished it and partially because I wanted to sort of continue the "Dean Moriarty legacy" since Neal Cassady is included in EKAAT. If you know these books I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about...

Right now I'm reading "Exquisite Corpse" by Poppy Z. Bright about two gay, cannibalistic, necrophiliac, serial killers who prey upon gay men in New Orleans. If you are wondering... No, I'm not gay. I just enjoy crazy, intense shit. Some of my other personal favorites are "American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis and "Battle Royale" by Koushun Takami. ![]()
