| I usually don't read fantasy, but I randomly picked up "The Name Of The Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss in Walmart a few weeks ago and read it in two days. I could barely put the thing down. It's very, very good. The man has serious talent. I was spellbound. (And a second vouch for American Gods. Neil Gaiman rules.)

Smack by Melvin Burgess is a really good one, also. Love & Death if you are into the whole Kurt Cobain murder theory. How To Make Love Like a Porn Star by Jenna Jameson. It's her autobiography, and it's pretty fucking awesome. | |

| I recently read The Road by Cormac McCarthy, and it was excellent. It's a post-apocalyptic story of an old man traveling with his very young son in a harsh and dangerous world. I was blown away by it. Currently, I'm reading V. by Thomas Pynchon, and by the time I got two chapters into it I could tell it would be one of the best reading experiences of my life. I'm about 3/4 of the way through right now, and I don't think there's been a single page on the book where I haven't laughed in my head, been awestruck by the vocabulary or sincerely impressed by Pynchon's knowledge of everything from history to psychology to engineering. This is his debut novel, and I'm really looking forward to his second book, titled The Crying of Lot 49.

| I would highly recommend that all of you take the time to buy and read a book buy Patrick Neate called "Musungu Jim and the Great Chief Tuloko" it is the story of a 19 year old white boy who goes to a ficitonal sub-Saharan country to teach English. Its a brilliant tale with many twists which somehow result in Jim leading a revolution. |

| I have just finished reading Savage Grace. It was a great book about a wealthy family that is really eccentric and mentally unstable. True story to. If you get a chance you should pick it up. |
