Hey, IloveKFC- if you dig Jim Carroll then you should read the book 'Forced Entries-The Downtown Diaries 1971-1973'
Like The Basketball Diaries (by the way, it actually the sequel to the Basketball Diaries) , its about his drug addiction, but other members of his life are incorporated into the story, making it pretty interesting. Its a pretty good book.

I'm currently reading "Battle for God" by Karen Armstrong about the rise of fundamentalism in the world's major religions.. a very intresting historical perspective on the world's problems and issues..

The Hades Factor - Robert Ludlum

I dig these kind of books, evil virus is starting to kill people and of course theres a conspiracy around all of it. Its a damn good read though, keeps ya wanting to read more.

Faerywings - yeah I actually read that already, thought it was good but not as good as Basketball Diaries. Ever read any of his poetry, I think that's the only other thing that Carroll has published?

Cool Kfc...

help us out with a little better desciption. Are you looking for fact or fiction?

Any particular genre?Cowboy books,war stories,detective,modern stories,old days,what?

I will be glad to pass a few on if I knew what you were interested in....

ok definately fiction. I dont know, no specific genre. Give me books that blew you away, I wanna read a great book, obviously this is a subjective subject I was hoping catch-22 would spark off a conversation about great books.

If you have never read "1984" by George Orwell you should definately go borrow it from the library. It's fiction, but it's so easy to parallel to real life that its frightening. The basic story line is that the govt controls and watches everything that you do, say, and sometimes even think. I don't really want to give any more away, so go read it!

I'm currently reading, 'Morgan.' It is an biography of J.P. Morgan the investment banker of the last 18th century. Interesting to read about banking and the development of the U.S. industrial economy.

I rad catch 22 last year for an independant reading project in english. It was a good book!

KFC- My older brother is a big Jim Corroll buff so I'll check with him on other book by him for ya.

another good book-Another day in Paradise by Eddie Little. I couldn't put it down. But the movie sucked a$$ and totally distorted the story.
